He should have never been fired

There was just too much between the NCAA and the hookers. I can't blame them for firing him. I didn't want it....but I was ok considering at the time the thought was that the NCAA just really wanted Freeze and would take it easy on us if we fired him.

Turns out that didn't happen.

No way we fire him if it was just one or the other...

To me he might have done that so Liberty would be better compensated when he gets hired away. He wanted them to get some $$ too. Bc if you are a power 5 school and you want Freeze, ur gonna pay his buy out.

But who knows? Time will tell.

I think they waited too late for that to work with the NCAA. They wanted us to fire him in 2016 not 3 months before the hearings for a completely unrelated issue. Also didn't help that Freeze then went and threw us under the bus too.

You think wayyy too much of Freeze. We were dog shite his last year and he still had an incredible amount of talent to work with. If he lands in the SEC, the ncaa will be waiting. There’s a reason he was blackballed from returning to the sec quickly and it’s just ignorant to think it’s because he cheated on his wife.

I think there's a very real fear among the league that OM kept a lot of the details with Freeze quiet in exchange for Hugh resigning and not putting up a financial fight. The fear being that some of that will come out if he starts recruiting against OM or maybe even State.

Plus he just has no equity to hire a good SEC caliber staff. He couldn't do it at his peak at OM so unless he's going to strike gold and hire good up and coming coaches it could be difficult.

On a human level I hope it works out for him, bc when he has his head on his shoulders he is a good coach.

While I enjoyed the beating-Bama and heady Sugar Bowl days, let us not forget that Brother Hugh threw us under the bus with the NCAA and left us stuck with Matt Luke. Whether it was his fault, Bjork's, a combination of the two, or whatever, the fact of the matter is that we still got screwed royally.

I am quite happy with the Lane Train. He'll get recruiting turned around, especially once we're past all this Covid junk.

I’ve enjoyed watching Freeze do well at Liberty but I’d never want him back at OM or at any place where old OM dirt could resurface because of him. I hope that book forever stays closed.

Then you want him to beat Texas A&M, not us.

I don’t want him back but he’s going to crush it with resources like TN/auburn that can help him build a staff and dodge the NCAA. I pray he doesn’t go to auburn.

Do tell why having our most successful coach since Vaught is "stupid".

Him calling hookers is not a valid reason

He said OM boosters were out of control during the NCAA hearings.

His myriad of stupid decisions over his last 4 years should prevent him from ever coaching again. It won't, but it should.
