Mond has officially opted out of Jerrod Johnson's, Johnny Manziel's, Corey Pullig's and Ryan Tannehill's records.
Now, remove the ones that didn't play QB for 4 years (Manziel, Tanny), much less didn't start for 4 years (Johnson), and the one that played for RC "QB Killer" Slocum.

isn’t a good leader for the team
I have never understood the notion that the QB has to be the “leader” of the team. My team in HS, our “emotional leader” was a 2nd string WR, and our field leader was the weakside guard.

Am I wrong to say that y'all sucked then?

Is it time to revisit "Mond Sucks"?
If we look at teams with at least 3 games vs P5 competition, Mond is still 7th in passer rating, 9th in TDs, 14th in yards, 14th in comp%.
Leep in mind, only about 50 QBs meet the criteria so far. It's hard to deny he's looked solid in just about every game but Vandy. So-so in MSU but he wasn't asked to do much with the run game.

I’ll eat the crow. Offense has improved greatly. Defense ....

Seriously. What the hell is up with our defense?

No.
What if us haters & this thread give him motivation?
For the record, his touchdown celebrations in the Arkansas game sucked.

I’ll certainly give credit where credit is due. Mond has played exponentially better these last few games. I’m glad he finally figured it out.
That being said, not to be an a**hole, but it’s kinda expected of you when you’re a senior who has started all 4 years and have 3 years in your current coach’s system. That’s why we were all displeased with him to start the season. Looked like the same old Mond that missed open receivers, turned the ball over, and just looked plain scared out there. The Mond of the last few games has been what we’ve been waiting on for a couple years now.
So let me round out this complement/criticism sandwich by finishing with a positive. I’ve seen Mond throw the ball 20+ yards in the air downfield more times this season than his previous 3 combined, and that excites me. I think our running game success (I know Arkansas game wasn’t great, but overall this year it has been good) is a direct result of teams finally having to respect the pass more.

Mond accepted an invitation to the senior bowl so those worried he would return next year and break even more records can rest easy

I think it’s the best move for him. Leave on a high note

There was some previously untapped and hidden extra suckage he managed to summon today.
My god that was painful to watch.

For many years LSU was simply intimidated by Alabama. In a similar way Mond seizes up a bit when he plays LSU. And now the season is coming down to crunch time. Let’s hope he sees a sports psychologist during the week.

Kellen has had a pretty good season and we're Top 5 heading into the home stretch.
If you were always rooting cod Mond, you should be happy with what you've gotten from him this year. If you doubted him or thought he sucked, you should be happy with what you've gotten from him this year.

Mond is a painfully average QB. And I mean every bit of "painful" and "average." He might give you a game or a stretch where he plays solidly, but he WILL regress to the mean. Hard.
Damn, son.
Damn, son.

He didn't play well but in his defense there were a lot of dropped passes. He still would have had a bad day but he probably lost 50-60 yards and several first downs off drops.
