32/69 (46) for 478 yards with 3 TDs and 6 INTs

150 yards a TD and 2 INTs per game..that’s the last 3 games

You have to hold players accountable for bad performance and that means losing their job. If Kirby doesn’t, he will not only lose the fans, he will lose the team.

Do you suggest we not use a qb? Really? That’s stupid.

More of a “cant be worse” call for seeing more Mathis (with a game plan to use his running ability) and a little Beck.

Kentucky has better QB last year using a WR.

It could be worse. See what happened when vol fans got their wish. Mathis looks worse than Bennett. Damn shame Bennett got hurt in his TD throw. Killed our chances.

So no matter how bad he performs, it’s Bennett’s job.

The best player should play, even if he struggles. Don’t cut off your nose to spite your face.

People make the assumption that the back up will do better and that the coaches should know that the back up will do better.

No. We rationalize that certainly someone can be better than the awfulness that has been put on display the past few weeks. Perhaps that is not the case but that just highlights a different problem.

No, it is an assumption

Do we have one to use? Year 5 and nary a QB capable of playing at a level that makes us competitive is a complete rebuild. All of the talent across the board..... and given our performance against quality opponents outside of the natty and 2016 SEC title game suggests our talent level the last 5 years is not sufficient to compete in the top 2-3 teams in the country. That’s OK if it’s OK. There ain’t but 3 of those teams each year.... we have been one of them maybe 3 times since 1983. Maybe we are only what Smart has us. And that’s OK. NOT everyone can win a natty.

It was in 2017 and 2018, and would be right now if shite beyond our control didn’t wreck shite.

Exactly. Talented players only help your team if they are on the field during games.

There’s a 4th guy in that room... what the hell does it matter now? We aren’t playing for shite but some bowl in Florida against Nebraska. Let’s get beck some free experience while Alain not losing a year of eligibility.

It was without doubt in 2017. Alabama and LSU both beat us in 2018. We weren’t ightfully socompetitive against LSU.

We also got beat by Texas in 2018. If you give 2016 a pass because of year one, rightfully so, 2017 was an enjoyable outlier with 2018-2020 being the body of work we can expect going forward. It ain’t bad by any measure but is it good enough? Again, how many coaches improve beyond year 5? I don’t know the answer but most employees who aren’t hired as entry level employees usually peak somewhere after about 6 months and their 4th or 5th year. Very few improve substantial beyond that. They usually maintain but very few become substantially better.

Smart is a good coach. The best we’ve ever had, the best we could have as far as I know. It’s starting to look like he isn’t what 2017 looked like. That may be unfair but life ain’t fair.

At any rate there is nothing to do this year. If recruiting doesn’t fall off next year is always out there. It has been since 1980.

LSU 2018 was similar to AU 2017.
Bama 2018 was similar to Bama 2017.
We dominated other opponents, which were tougher overall than they were in 2017.

We were a playoff caliber team in both years, and an argument can be made that the 2018 team was better overall.

Can you possibly be more of a whiney, screaming vagina?

We were on TD away from going to the playoffs in '18 and if anyone remembers a 13 pt underdog to 'Bama in the SECCG.We finished in the top 5
in '19 even with our receiving corp decimated by injury and attrition. We've run into some shite luck this year with Fromm leaving,
Newman quitting and a plethora of injuries.

Does Kirby and this team have some obvious issues? Sure and what went on Saturday with our defense was very concerning. He was flat out coached and out schemed by Mullen... something that's rarely happened since he's been here.

Get everyone healthy and the QB situation settled and we'll be the favorites in east and national contenders.

BTW,let's not forget UF got 3 weeks off in the middle of the season and played one less game going into Jacksonville.
I can promise you Mullen spent the vast majority of those 3 weeks working on a gameplan for us and also got several of his injured folks healed.Mizzou was a scrimmage for em.

When you are a break or two away from a national title in back to back years, despite a ton of player turnover, complaints like yours look ridiculous. We would be right back in that zone in 2020 if a shite storm didnt blow through Athens.

Well...you'd have to at least concede that our next opponent probably wouldn't have gameplanned that.

Up until that game was played, an awful lot of people said "It doesn't matter" because it wasn't a playoff game. Half the coaching staff was gone/leaving, we were depleted, and one guy stayed out to protect his career as an armed robber.
