A well-thought out and sensible post, that actually doesn't scream to trade Ryan and Julio and blame them for everything wrong w/the Falcons. It's more coaching than anything else.

That's not allowed here. LOL.

I'm not as big a McDaniels fan as you and others are. He hasn't looked all that impressive as a playcaller w/o Brady.

I want Harbaugh.

Ryan and Julio's play isn't the problem. Their contracts are. If you pay guys that much money, you can't miss on draft picks like the Falcons have.

As for McDaniels, the Indy situation was a terrible look for him. He isn't leaving New England unless he's fired because I think they have a coach in waiting situation there but can't say it publicly because of the Rooney Rule.

With their salaries and the current roster structure 9-7 is a realistic season goal. That's can't be enough. Unless you think a player here or there will make this squad a Super Bowl contender?

I say we've already done half of the work to pick at the top of the draft. Tear it down now and complete the job. This is a great year to do it, and if both Fields and Lawrence remain true to form a better opportunity isn't coming any time soon.

Many a coach has survived worse.

As for the NE thing... I think the ability to walk into an offensive meeting room with Matt
Ryan, Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, Hayden Hurst, Russell Gauge, an offensive line of Mack, Lindstrom, McGary, and Matthews has to be enticing for any creative mind looking to have immediate success.

The NE roster/team as currently constructed has a lot more balance on defense, but, I think we really are a coaching job a lot of people would want.

And this is true, but this statement also defeats your argument that they need to be traded post-haste. Their contracts as constituted makes them untradable, especially Matt.

Matt will be here through next year. So any trade conversation needs to be put to bed till then

Mcdaniels must be pursued.

Will he leave? I put it at 40% chance.

You’re a Steelers fan, so, we as the Falcons fan base couldn’t give one flying fricking who you want.

Y’all are having a decent season right now, why don’t you spend more time engaging in conversation with fans of the football club of the decaying industrial town in Pennsylvania, before the inevitable postseason loss to Patrick Mahommes comes due?

I live here, so I do follow the Falcons and want them to do well. So you can frick right off.

And Pittsburgh is far from a decaying industrial town. It's a post-industrial city that is now the banking and medical capital.of the lower Midwest.

Why aren't you a Pirates fan then?

I was 10 when the Braves started their run in '91. Of course they played the Pirates. I had a choice to make, and I chose the Braves. They are the team that made me love sports. And to be fair, outside of the Barry years, the Bucs have sucked for pretty much my entire life.

My dad(RIP) moved us to Georgia on my 3rd birthday in 1984. So I've grown up here, but my entire family(dad, mum, stepmum) are all from Butler,PA. (35 miles north of Pittsburgh.) So I have western Pennsylvania roots. So I pull for 2 Georgia/Atlanta teams(Braves and UGA) and 2 Pittsburgh teams(Steelers and Penguins). Atlanta is my childhood home, where I grew up. Pittsburgh(Butler) is the familial/ancestral home, where my roots are at. So I am an interesting dichotomy.

Hope that answers your question.

And LOL at a "decent season". We're 6-0 bruh! Last undefeated team left.

Feels good man.

Having said that, losing to Baltimore in Baltimore on Sunday is a definite possibility.

No. Have been on Champlain, though. The Vermont side.

I went tubing on Lake Chautauqua about 10 years ago. Upstate NY is beautiful.

We took our vacation there last year. Flew into Albany, stayed in Jefferson at an AirBnb cabin about 4 miles down in a gulley, visited Cooperstown and Oneonta, then stayed in Vermont and made a day trip to Montreal.

Upstate NY is absolutely gorgeous!

My Beaver County PA friends and my Georgia friends have small cottages up there, you're right, absolutely beautiful. Though one time we had a rare tornado pass overhead, that was probably ten years ago or so.

I lived in Ohio for awhile. I could get to the PA/NY border on I-90 in about 2 hours from where I used to live. I've been Upstate a few times, but never got to go to the finger lakes, Lake Champlain, or the Thousand Islands area.

The coastline on Lake Erie and Lake Ontario is awesome.
