The evidence is in and it's overwhelming

To be fair, the evidence has been clear for some time now. Auburn will not be a successful football program moving forward under Gus. It can't reasonably be argued otherwise.

Once one comes to this conclusion, the question is no longer whether AU can afford to fire Gus in light of his contract and the financial fall out from Covid, but whether it can afford to wait any longer.

Agreed. I think I'd push for Gus to take a reduced buyout for COVID reasons and if no, fight him in court until his bubblegum loses flavor.

My question is, if Athletic departments are able to cut salaries due to the lockdowns, why can’t Auburn do the same to Gus’ salary or buyout? I think dabo had his salary cut by a million or so this year, unless that was voluntary.

Time for the “Honeypot” scenario.

Need some pictures Of Gus in compromising positions.

I don’t disagree that Gus has to go, and I have no idea how the termination clause of the contract reads, but if Auburn reneges when it should be paying, that sends a message to people and we may have a hard time landing a quality coach.

You don't have to be a genius to figure out what works and what isn't. That team across the State plugs in a new QB every couple of years, and doesn't skip a beat. Gus is in his 8th year, and started a true freshman last year. Before that we had to rely on a transfer. Before Stidham, it was a disaster of Gus' recruits that crashed and burned. We have had multiple offensive coordinators in those 8 years, and the song remains the same.

Remember that time when we were like “man if only Nick Marshall could hit a guy...can’t wait for Jeremy?” I remember.

Bottom line either let Bo run the read option or stop requiting the same QB for the last 5 years that can’t run Gus’s high school offense.

Any update if Gatewood did anything?
