Mac is playing his way into getting drafted this year. IMO he declares and Bryce takes over next year

I’ve been thinking about this. I hope this happens and we don’t lose Bryce to transfer

I think it’s pretty clear at this stage Mac will leave.

Oddly enough, he’ll likely finish top three in the Heisman race if he avoids a terrible game.

I’m not going to lie.. with the way Mac is playing.. I wouldn’t mind having him for 2 more years. But I am excited to think of what Bryce will bring to the table next year. I hope we can get some good leads and see more of him

You’re right. I keep forgetting about that rule change. At best I can’t see him using it though, he’s already 22 and his draft stock, if he continues playing this way, would peak going into next year

God that’s going to cause a major logjam in future years for recruits

As a highschool coach.. I have been thinking the same way. They are either going to have to extend the scholarship limit or these senior kids in highschool are pretty screwed

right. If he keeps playing like this it's nearly impossible it would get better next year. Actually I'm kind of sweating offense next year. Hopefully the defense gets better

on the other hand. hanging around and possibly becoming bama's all-time leader at qb could be very enticing to mac. i truly think he has that ability. am i wrong?

Gotta strike while the iron is hot.

He's definitely moving up some draft boards.

Seniors that come back won't count toward next year's 85 limit. But since everyone is getting an extra year of eligibility, there'll probably be fewer roster departures for several years.

Mac has his degree, so I really don't see him coming back next year with all our offense is losing. If he keeps playing like this he's a first round pick anyway.
