I don't care how much a coach is making. They aren't going to work miracles overnight. Drinkwitz needs time to clean up Odom's mess. We've had plenty of time to evaluate what a failure Walters is. If the team isn't more competitive as the season progresses against weaker opponents, then sure. Drinkwitz will earn some criticism. However, I'm not going to make knee jerk reactions against the greatest college coach ever in the first game of the season.

One thing Drinkwitz is doing is evaluating players and get an idea what other teams are doing and have and see where his current team is at and know what need to be fixed/changed to start making any progress. It will be year 3 that is where he will have things set and be more prepared to compete against the SEC teams.

Not giving a first year coach a chance is stupid.

Not giving a first year coach of a program coming off of sanctions is really stupid.

Not giving a first year coach of a program coming off of sanctions in a season screwed up by COVID is really fricking stupid.
