Seeing them receiving votes in the ap poll got me thinking and I still feel like we’d blow them out. Unless the coach staff there is just head and shoulders above our staff which I highly doubt, I think we’d stay boast them out of the stadium with our talent. I’m not saying we belong In top 25 but I just really don’t see what’s impressive about them. I was more shocked at how bad Kansas state was than the performance a state put on.

Yes. Hogs win by at least 3 scores.

Don't think anyone could say at this point. I have my doubts, but I'm guessing after the Georgia game, we all could give a definitive answer.

Yes someone on the rant was arguing that Arkansas state had better talent than Arkansas these last 10 years. Said Tyler Wilson was a moron and the Allen brothers only started because they couldn't find anyone else.

Arkansas beat Sunbelt champ Louisiana Lafayette 34-14 and still went 0-8.

The idiot who said that needs to to inform the NFL of that tidbit. state has gone 6 years - SIX YEARS!!! without a player drafted. They usually also recruit around the 80s. KSU was a good win for them but that is their 3rd or 4th P5 win in their entire history and they still own an overall losing record.

With that said the games recently would be tight and they could beat us because the main area they're better than us at is the most important = coaching. Even so, state usually finds a way to arkansas up the season. They lost to a horrible 1 win South Alabama team last season. I honestly feel bad for them because anytime they get the least bit of momentum instead of focusing on what they accomplished the entire conversation is people comparing them to us or bringing up our failures. It permeates throughout their fanbase and in our media. Instead of "great win by state" it always comes down to people saying "Could the Hogs beat state?" or "Who is the best team in the state?" like being the best in the state of Arkansas is some sort of accomplishment.

I'm to point where I'm ready to play them. People need to realize that losing to state won't cause fans (the one's who donate and buy tickets) to jump ship and flock to jonesboro. If that was the case then many of them would have already done so and according to state's abysmal season ticket sales (less than 8k) that isn't happening.

My only rule is that the game be played on campus. Don't do that stupid bs play in little rock garbage. If this is supposedly the biggest game in the history of Arkansas then it needs to be done in the biggest stadium in Arkansas. We don't need to play a neutral site game and we sure as shite don't need to split the gate and give them the biggest payout of their life. Pay them whatever we would pay any other SBC team or reduce the payout and play in jonesboro. If we can play in Tulsa's tiny arse stadium --- which we are doing in the coming years then we can play in jonesboro's stadium.

No one can argue that ASU and KSU have better talent than Arkansas with players drafted.

Since 2011 a total of 35 players from Arkansas were drafted.

Kansas St. since 2011 had a total of 14 players drafted.

Arkansas St. Since 2011 had a total of four players drafted.

We need to remember that this is the worst stretch since the early 50s. Yet both teams still wouldn't win an SEC game had they switched places.

Arkansas is terrible because of the coaching. Kansas state is terrible because they have no talent compared to other members of the Big 12.

I have a friend that is an assistant GM or GM of a CFL team. He was also was an NFL scout. He told me back in 2015 when Arkansas played Kansas St. that Arkansas had a lot more talent and that Kansas St. was putrid.

This individual was only looking for players that wouldn't be drafted for the NFL. That tells all you need to know a bout Kansas St.

Arkansas has gone at least 25 years with one player drafted.

Jonathon Adams Jr. is as good of a receiver, and maybe better, than any of ours, and I'm not saying ours are bad at all. Burks may be the closest to him.

A State plays well as a team. It would be a close game this year. They know what they are doing, we're learning a new system, new coaches...

I'd take the Hogs, but by the slimmest of margins. And would not be shocked at all if it went the other way.

I've been saying this for a long time, actually. The argument has always been: What does Arkansas stand to gain from it? What do we stand to gain from scheduling any of the lower rated teams that have consistently beaten us recently? The teams in FCS/G5 conferences will always gain more by playing us. And do people really think Arkansas is that fragile, that we can't stand losing to Arkansas State once every 20 years or something? Is that going to somehow swing recruiting to Jonesboro? Are we going to lose scores of fans? If we can still fill a stadium since 2012, then we're going to be fine with the once in a blue moon loss. No one worth pursuing wants to play in the Sun Belt over the SEC. No one worth pursuing is going to flip to stAte over one bad year. And no fan who didn't actually go to school in Jonesboro wants to follow SBC over SEC. It's just sad at this point, every other major program has no problem occasionally playing their lower in-state teams. It's a good way to schedule a weak opponent under the guise of a "rivalry," and it'll keep all the revenue in-state every single year.

I'm fine with home-and-home, but I always thought the game should be played in WMS just because that's the most convenient way appease the pro-WMS crowd.

Would be one of the dumbest ideas in all of our history of dumb ideas. Honestly. Why take a game that everyone seems to think would be an instant sell out and play it in a stadium with 20k less seats? The idea becomes even more idiotic when you consider that we are needing to make as much money as possible to offset the losses from COVID (see the $20 million loan). Like I said earlier - the all-time dumb idea is that we should play in wms and split the gate. It sucks that fans who are wanting us to not only lose money via travel/lodging and reduced capacity. They want us to turn around and give half the gate away to a Sun Belt Makes no sense whatsoever. No thank you. Play the game at the HOME OF THE RAZORBACKS and pay state whatever we pay a normal game vs a Sun Belt team. The truth is that all of our home games need to be played on campus. The lost revenue calls for less travel. There is zero reason to play a home game off campus now.

Yep,if the ASU game materializes,it should be played in Fayetteville like a non conference game like this should be for our program.

These programs aren't equals no matter how bad we've been the last few years.

No WMS,no home and home. One place, take it or leave it.

And we shouldnt pay them a lot to come play. They have been begging for that game. Give them a low ball payment.

So..... how much coverage of the absolute arse stomping that coastal carolina gave state will there be?

Like I said - people only care if the hogs look bad and the pups look good. They only get coverage if it's in comparison to us --- that's it.

There will be zero coverage of this game in the paper tomorrow. Bitch all they want about how the state media only covers us but the truth is that we get coverage in the good times and bad. If/when we get blown out again it will be front page in the sports section and Wally Hall will write some nonsense about playing games in little rock and bitch about how bad the media has it in the press box at the University of Arkansas (Fayetteville). Truth is that football in this state is pretty bad and that the BIG12 is a garbage football conference.
