This is year 2 for Davis correct?

Year 3. He came onto the scene in the 2018 season during the LSU game out of necessity and has been dominant during his time on the field ever since.

Another look back at Jordan Davis' impact.

2018: didnt start against LSU but racked up 7 tackles
Got dinged up against Bama.
Academically ineligible against Texas

2019: got dinged up against tennessee and played a couple of snaps against South Carolina.
Dominated the LSU ground game through 3 quarters. Shortly after the start of the 4th quarter, got pulled. Either because he was tired, we wanted a package that could get to Burrow, or we were down and getting backups reps. That was when the LSU ground game started clicking.

Kind of like John Atkins in 2017, we are a different defense with Davis on the field.

If we're talking about having an elite of the elite type D it's Davis. Come draft time if he's a top 20 pick then this years UGA D will have been an all time great.

I really hope it's not GP. If the scheme is effective and we have some young guys step up it's not going to be him.

Either way, I really don't want to find out.

Jordan Davis. Nobody like him on the roster.

This is the correct answer.
