Hopefully the schedules will be released today as promised. Since I assume I will not be attending the games in the stadium, I am hopeful that tailgating will be allowed. I can't find anything on it yet. Any insiders know of any information on this? It was mentioned in another thread, once but that thread spiraled into another political discussion.

I've heard anything on campus won't be allowed.

Wr are supposedly not getting the full schedule til next week now, although we MIGHT find out the 2 new opponents. Utterly ridiculous.

Mcgarity last week said that UGA would release all logistical info at once, things like parking, tailgating, refunds, mobile tickets, fan info, etc. I'm nearly certain tailgating won't be allowed but we'll just have to wait til that info dump to know for sure.

I would be surprised if what Redpants is saying isn't the case. They will probably have the tailgate spots completely blocked off. The Athletic directors want people to park, go straight to the game; and straight home afterwards. My wife wants to go to a game but I really don't want to even attempt to navigate a game with all the COVID protocols that will be in place. I'm sure they will require masks to be worn at games.

You know what would be cool? If we keep wearing these masks and goggles for the next 4 years and never have social activities. Let’s please get back to normalcy. My bad, we will after the election.

Institutions shall determine whether tailgating or other large gatherings of guests (e.g., alumni events, university recruiting events, etc.) are permitted on property owned and/or controlled by the institution in accordance with applicable state and local guidelines, policies and/or regulations. In the absence of state and/or local guidelines, CDC recommendations on physical distancing should be applied.
Considerations should be given as to the time parking lots open.

Don't expect tailgating to be allowed on any university property. We plan to tailgate at a few places with golf courses and banquet rooms so we can have three or four TVs going with various games.

StubHub just cancelled my transaction for the purchase on on-campus parking pass. In case this happens to anyone else, they give you a 120% credit to be used up to 12/21. However, since we are in Georgia, state law requires them to give a refund if requested. Call them if you want the refund and they will process it.

Now it will either be off-campus tailgating or stay at home. I don't mind the at home option, but I have a daughter at UGA who may miss the tailgates. So still in limbo for now.

Find a place somewhere in Athens that will rent you their parking lot on game days and charge tailgaters a fee.
