Plant a Toomer's Oak on his open casket and bury the SOB in orange and blue.

. . . then charge a visitation fee until his bill is finally paid.

I don't think he'd be getting any satisfaction at this point, but I get where you're coming from. He's gone. We can't change what happened. Let's just collectively move on.

My take on it is that I actually felt sad for the guy. He lived such a pathetic existence. Frankly, that's just sad to me. For someone to have such warped priorities in life is just sad. I wouldn't be surprised if he had some undiagnosed mental issues.

This. Guy was mentally ill and pity is the only emotion I can spare for him.

Peace be with his family.

This.

I think “someone” who knew about spike 80 manipulated Harvey’s passion and that’s why it happened.

Harvey had no reason to know about spike 80.
The guy whose lake house he lived in did right of way clearing of land for power lines- he is really the one that used Harvey as a tool to poison the trees.

Have they ever talked to that guy?

It does give me a little satisfaction that the last football season he got to witness an Auburn win over Bama and LSU beat Bama at home while he lived in the heart of LSU country .

AU will probably be able to get more $ out of him now than when he was alive.

Amen. Wishing death on someone that did what he did is extreme. He obviously had mental issues. I’m all for closing the book on the updyke chapter respectfully with class.

I agree with posters re: Updyke likely suffering some mental illness. When he was alive I hated that dude, but I’d never wish death upon him. He was a sad, pathetic man. A poster child for “living rent free.”

I’ve always thought the Bama fans who treated him as a hero were worse.

Glad the last Iron Bowl he saw was an AU win.
