Hey CHU. Go to the official UGA football site if they have one. Check out kirby's win total VS top 10 and/or top 25. Now take that number and compare it to the actual end of year numbers as to what teams he beat and their final ranking. They won't be the same because a coach's record is recorded as ranking at time of game.

georgiadogs.com Kirby Smart page

Thanks for the tip. It looks like the official site for the bulldogs references final rankings.

quote:

Smart’s 2019 Bulldogs became the first team in school history to win 11 or more games for a third straight season. The senior class posted a four-year record of 44-12, matching the school record of 44 wins for a senior class. Along the 2019 schedule, Georgia defeated three Top 15 teams in the final CFP ranking — Notre Dame, Florida, and Auburn — and finished as the fourth-ranked team in the final polls. The Bulldogs capped their season with a dominant victory over Baylor in the Allstate Sugar Bowl game.

That is word for word in the media guide as well.
The only part showing "as of game" rankings are the game summaries in the media guide (which are written just after the game like a columnist would).

Tennessee had them on the ropes last year. refs hands in that game carried gumps over the finish line.

2011 LSU played and beat the Rose Bowl Champs, Orange Bowl Champs West Virginia, and the eventual National Champs. Damn you Les. Toughest schedule for anyone recently.

Until 2019...

LSU was the first team to beat the top-four teams in the initial AP Poll from the start of the year (Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Oklahoma). All seven of the top-10 teams LSU beat finished the season ranked in the top-25 of the final AP Poll, including five of the top-eight.

LSU beat 7 top 10 teams...#9 Texas Longhorns, #7 Florida Gators, #9 Auburn Tigers,
#3 Alabama, #4 Georgia Bulldogs, #4 Oklahoma Sooners and #3 Clemson.

Clemson: ACC Champions, Fiesta Bowl Champions
Georgia: SEC East Champions, Sugar Bowl Champions
Florida: Orange Bowl Champions
Oklahoma: Big 12 Champions
Alabama: Citrus Bowl Champions
Texas: Texas Bowl Champions
Auburn: Lost Outback Bowl to Minnesota

The last 3 were not on your schedule.

Oh I guess everyone was dreaming about the games. Of course they weren't on the preseason schedule but the games were played. They wont be on Bama's schedule this year though as they won't win the West.

Other teams do it already
In 18
LSU played bama auburn Florida Georgia all in same year and a lot of times LSU plays those teams back to back
When’s the last time bama has done that and not used non conf games to get bye weeks before their biggest games like iron bowl and always week off before LSU
