So is Mack Brown the greatest recruiter of all time or are UNC bagmen stepping up? It feels reminiscent of Ole Miss' recruiting under Hugh Freeze, just a crazy jump out of nowhere

Mack's that good at recruiting.

He's assembled a great recruiting staff.

It happens to be one of, if not the, best years in NC history for producing high ranking talent.

Dre Bly has had a huge impact in crucial 757 region in VA (4 star George Wilson will be Heel in next couple weeks).

Sam Howell, and last year's turnaround + Clemson game, showed recruits we could make a run soon.

Snagging a couple of recruiting wins against big SEC schools helped momentum.

Nah, Mack has always been a solid recruiter. He was that way when he was at UNC the first time but he's taken it a step further now.

How old are you? Did you not follow football before 2009? Mack has always been a great recruiter. He’s not called coach February for nothing.

How old are you? He was known as coach February at Texas

ETA I’m not trying to be a dick with the “how old are you” comments but I’m just kinda shocked people don’t know about Mack’s recruiting abilities, unless you were born in like 2005

He'll be in Chapel Hill in a month according to his dad. I guess too much uncertainty regarding HS football this fall in VA.

I always thought it was Mr. February, but yeah, that’s pretty well known.

We're required to post our age now. Everyone knows Mack Brown is a great recruiter. His North Carolina teams were top 10 in the late 90's. I'm just not familiar with Coach February. Leave it at that.

I mean he may have bag men but he said from the beginning UNC was going to own the state and keep everyone home and build the team off in state talent. He has done exactly that. Incredibly impressive. Wish Mullen would take notes. Can easily build an entire team with in state talent here.

Hate to be fair to a Florida fan.....BUT.... you also have UGA Alabama, Auburn, Clemson in addition to FSU and Miami recruiting in your state heavily, so it isn't as easy as just being in a talent rich state. And, it looks like Mullen has picked up his recruiting a bit.

He's also told all 3 finalists that he will OV each one before the December Signing Day, so this isn't over by a long shot.
