Both are deserving as far as I'm concerned though I wonder if Langham will ever get in due to the NCAA controversy that got us put on probation in 1995.

Two Former Alabama Players Nominated For Hall Of Fame (BamaOnLine)

Two former Alabama football stars – defensive back Antonio Langham and offensive tackle Chris Samuels – were announced today as among 78 former major college players on the National Football Foundation (NFF) and College Football Hall of Fame 2021 ballot for induction into the hall of fame.

Where Are They Now: Antonio Langham (BamaOnLine)

In this exclusive Q&A, Langham discusses high school coaching, playing for Nick Saban in the NFL, why his favorite college play is not THAT play and more.

Good read.

For those of you wondering...his favorite play was the interception returned for a touchdown against Auburn in '92 that got the scoring going. It was 0-0 early in the third quarter at that point in time. Though I personally think his best play was the interception returned for a touchdown the following year against Arkansas.

Awesome Pick Six

The HOF is a big building. It also has one of the most frustrating entries of any process. They need to lose this "consensus" All-American label that has eliminated so many great players from HOF consideration. Many of these guys played circles around some of these HOF entrees. Politics and simply being on a winning team has always been so much about who gets these AA awards to start with. Does anyone still recall the most decorated player of our generation, the one, and only, Manti Teo. Who it turns out in the natty wasn't even the best linebacker on the field, by a long shot. In that so few make it, why not have an experienced committee go back and get these great players in the Hall where they belong?

Chris Samuels the pride of Shaw HS in Mobile. Samuels opened up a many a holes for Shaun Alexander and the 1999 SEC Championship.

Antonio Langham pretty much single handily won the 1992 Mississippi St game and the SEC Championship game. State had us on the ropes before Langham returned that blocked punt for the TD.
