Has there ever been one?
What would be the likelihood of getting one?
Thanks for all you do.

I asked on the tigerdroppings help board and the beta board for a Prayer request board and an admin deleted my thread on the help board....

I’m going to bump this again; I hope I’m not out of line.
I’m not just talking about a prayer request board—and not a board dedicated to Christianity only.
I’m suggeating a place to discuss religion in a historical context, as well as a contemporary one ...
academic discussions, as well as a venue to opine about mercy and grace.
It never feels right to do so on tSECr (though I do offer prayers); and the PT board isn’t appropriate either.
Thanks for considering my request.
I hope and pray you and yours are well.

I support this.
The problem for the admins would be policing the trolls. People who don’t have faith simply can’t leave those that do alone. This being an anonymous message board would make it that much worse.

Why the downvotes?
I don’t have an interest in the Gaming Board, so I don’t visit it.
Not interested in religion? Don’t click it.
I’d think those who are ‘anti-religion’ would be all for such a board, since it would be a repository for threads they don’t want to see on the other boards?
Aw, well.
I’ve said my peace.
Thanks!

I'm all for it! I'm afraid douchey atheist trolls will flood it, though.

Two or three years ago, Old Sarge kicked around the idea on the SEC Rant OT forum of posting scripture and having open discussion about the readings.
The thread died faster and was removed quicker than Jesus Christ lasted on the cross.

I know you mean well, but the harsh reality is that, were a board like that put in place, it would need moderation far stricter than anything seen before on this site else it would quickly become the most toxic board here.
Jesus took over 12 hours to die, didn't he? He was put on the cross in the early morning and expired just before sunset.
Most condemned to die by crucifixion take many hours to die. If they aren't dead within a day (of suffocation) their legs are broken to hasten the process.
