I didn't really remember much about this except Willie Gosha had a million catches and Auburn lost. Just went and watched the Youtube highlights, underrated classic. Auburn got down 30-7, had a frantic rally. Scored with like :15 seconds left to make it 30-28. Recovered the onside kick and got in position for a 52 yard FG to pull off the miracle. For some reason instead of spiking the ball they tried to rush the FG team on causing a hurried/not great snap, timing was all off, and the kick was no good.
Game ended up deciding the SEC West.
Great game, wish Bowden had used his brain and spiked the ball to give Hawkins a better shot at the FG.

I was at that game.Sat in the visitors section among Auburn fans.

I was at this game. Night game in Little Rock. Tailgated with some Auburn fans on the golf course. Great fans until they lost & they wanted to fist fight.

The first half of that game was the best the offense ever looked under Danny Ford. I never will forget watching it..and being in complete shock.

Bowden had some great teams at Auburn but he seemed really prone to "WTF" decisions in big games.
That was a great game with a tremendous late rally by Auburn. I imagine quite a few folks in Arkansas had to take a little extra blood pressure medication after that one.
