Will Belichick have Stidham excel when Gus couldn't?

Stidham looks to be poised to be the starter for the Patriots this coming up season. Gus couldn't use his talents, but will Belichick be able to?

Probably. Belichek is a good coach. Stidham also got spooked pretty quickly under pressure and not sure that can be fixed.

I will be pretty surprised if he ends up being the starter.

Well comparing the best coach in NFL History with unlimited resources to Gus is a little odd but what ever.

If anyone can make Stidham a NFL QB it would be him but he wont. Stidham wont be a consistent NFL QB

He is afraid of getting hit.

He lacks field vision..........with a two route play.

He has arm talent, but he will never be anything more than a backup.

Patriots haven't made a move in free agency for QB except for grabbing Hoyer, which will be Stidham's backup right now.

The only wrench in this is if the Patriots trade up in the draft and grab Tua or something.

When I think coaching I think Gus and Bill neck and neck

He wasn't made for Gus' system. So a better system fit would show improvement in theory.

Alot of quarterbacks would've been spooked if they had to run for their life like Stidham did in 2018.

Yrp, Gus didn’t use him to full potential. That is why Gus is not in control of the Offense anymore.

"Draft Tua": As R.Clark said this morning, with no OTA's, limited summer camps & Fall practices, i.e. practice time severely limited, it is going to be difficult for any rookie to come in and start. Too much to learn in limited time.

Gus had Stidham one game from the playoffs after beating the two teams that made the championship game.

It’s possible that a multi-time Super Bowl Champion head Coach is more able than Gus Malzahn when it comes to coaching Stidham up.
