No one ever said JFF was only good because of Evans

Plenty of folks said that, though.

question calling him the best ever however, and wondered how Johnson’s or tannehills career would’ve been with the same supporting cast including Evans.

Tannehill had virtually the same cast as JFF. Johnson was solid but not nearly the improvisational threat JFF was.

I love Jerrod but he was not on the same level as JFF or Tannehill as a QB in college or as a pro prospect

And this is before you add in rushing stats.

His freshman season Johnny broke Greg Hill's freshman rushing record with 1,410 yards on 201 carries. That number is good for 4th best all time. Considering all the great running backs A&M has had over the years it's pretty incredible that he has the 4th best season carrying the ball.

He also has the most rushing TDs in a single season for an Aggie with 21. That topped the 19 TDs by Joel Hunt which had stood since 1927 (and was tied in '06 by Jorvorskie Lane).

Jerrod Johnson could run a bit too but he was nowhere near Johnny. In 4 years (35 games) of being an Aggie Jerrod ran the ball 331 times for 887 yards and 16 TDs.

In 2013, a year when Johnny ran the ball significantly less than his freshman year, he had 144 carries for 759 yards and 9 TDs.

So in Johnny's "off" year running the ball he had only 128 less yards and 7 less TDs than the entirety of JJ's Aggie career.

In total Johnny had 2,169 rushing yards and 30 TDs which puts him 17th all time for rushing yards and 9th for rushing TDs as an Aggie.

You’re wrong but he was underrated at WR. It really spoke to just how poor our WRs had been forever.

I love Johnny and think he was our best QB of a time, but he also had Kingsbury as OC. Obvi KK was onto something w his play calls.

Why doesn't Tannehill ever come back/support/represent A&M? Is it bc of how Sherman was ousted?

Almost everyone involved in that is gone, why wouldn't he support the players at least?

How do you know he doesn’t?

Trayveon, Matthews, & McCoy we’re back for UTSA but you probably wouldn’t have known that unless you were there.

Yinz see the lick Tannehill put on the lineman after throwing a pick? Good stuff.

Play starts at 35 sec mark.

Ryan Tannehill now leads the NFL in QB Rating at 118.5. Cousins, Brees, and Jackson are next.

Tannehill is likely going to take down the Texans and win the AFC South

Pretty sure he has, and even if not who cares? He’s a busy guy. Doesn’t make him a bad Ag, he says A&M on Sunday Night games when they say colleges so he doesn’t hate us.
