Enough attrition will take down any team, no matter how many highly ranked players they have. UGA knows this very well. Under Richt, we had severe attrition in some seasons that could have been special. Part of the game.

Actually it is the main reason. Bama vs LSU was a close game. How would LSU have performed without Joe Burrow vs Alabama and Auburn?

We lost Marshall earlier in the year for a few games, we lost Delpit for a few as well, not to mention losing Divinity and some others.

Teams lose players, Bama recruits better than anyone so they should weather losing players better than any team. That's where "coaching" comes into play. Saban is good but really how many other coaches are there that wouldn't go undefeated with the teams he field? More times than not, Bama's secondary is the weak link of the team (if any) and who coaches that?

I'm sorry, but this is a failure by Saban and his staff.

How is it that with their recruiting through the years, ths only backups they had were true freshmen?

How does that even happen at bama?

Well the current climate in college football regarding transfers, especially QB transfers, doesn't help at all.

Hell they won a Natty 2 seasons ago because of QB depth. There's no way they could have gone another season with Jalen and Tua in the QB room. There just simply isn't enough playing time to go around with QBs nowadays.

Most of Bama’s penalties Saturday were not subjective. They were due to mental lapses that the Refs had no choice. AU had three PI in a row.
