LSU will probably keep one safety back in a cover-1 look. The other safety, probably your nickel, will be in the box. It's easier to disguise blitzes and coverage that way. That's what I would do if I were O.
Wondering if we’ll let Mo Hampton play center field and let Delpit play closer to the line. In that scenario Mo actually be the nickel with Grant and Jacoby Stevens playing closer to the line. I know that’s what Aranda would prefer to do, just wondering if they’ll trust Mo in that center field spot in a Championship game. He’s been good the last few weeks since he’s gotten more of a chance while Grant has recovered.

Mo wouldnt have to be good. He just has to be present, in the middle, and Fromm won't throw it that way. Then the cb's use the sidelines as a 12th and 13th defender.

He’s super athletic, going to be the starting left fielder on the baseball team, but he’s super young so idk if you want to put him on that spot. I know Fromm hasn’t been as good this year but I expect him to play well in a championship game environment.
But if we’re able to do that, that’s as close to the base defense Aranda wants to run anyway.

The opening line has me worried. I was expecting LSU -9 or more. Those head scratcher lines seem to always go the way opposite of what you would think. See Alabama -2.5 against Auburn last week and LSU -13.5 vs UF

Will be interesting to see how the scheming goes. Without Cager and Pickens I’d imagine we’d squat Fulton and Stingley in man and rotate shallow zone to take away the tight end and Swift catching the ball coming out of the back field.
I believe you will remember the names James Cook and Demetris Robertson on offense after Sat.

Game will be over by halftime. LSU by 17+
How many good teams had LSU blown out this season?
I think most who watched would say UGA controlled both the Auburn and Florida games better than LSU.
Just wondering where the logic behind this blowout talk is coming from.

You're not getting pressure without a blitz, and cover 1 will lose it for LSU. Those seam routes will be thrown, and trusting that kid as your single high safety will cost chunks of yards.

That's IF Fromm finds his stride, then you go back to cover-2.
That's what I meant by "Fromm has to make them pay" in my previous comment.
Fromm is about 10% on those throws right now.
Start in cover 1, if Fromm is on fire, adjust.

The worst thing for Georgia is that LSU is currently #2 in the CFP Rankings and they will be wanting to make a statement to the committee that they deserve that #1 spot. No Mercy.

I think it will be for a while.
