The Score Should Have Been LSU 48 Alabama 20

Alabama got yards and TDs on fluke plays and a punt return. At no point after Tua rumbled was the game in doubt. Alabama picked up points and yards in a desperate come back attempt, but the game was really decided by the half. Every time Alabama got close, LSU ran it down their throats and scored another TD.

I applaud the Bama fans who are showing respect and credit. To you, I say, good game and congrats on the attempted comeback - Bama never gave up and should be commended.
The rest of you? Sad.
Edit: This is all according to Bama logic. I thought that was obvious. The real score was 46-41, but in a world where you only count the things that go right for you and discard whatever goes wrong, the score would have been 46-20. It’s a stupid way to look at a game and I thought that would be clear.

Sorry. I wasn’t clear. I was trying to use Bama logic in disregarding all that goes wrong for my team and claiming a false score.

It’s dumb to say “if, if, if ...” and act like Bama deserves a rematch. The game was the game. The score was the score.

Let me translate that for you in a more sensible manner...
"Alabama got yards and TDs with a vertical passing game and solid special teams play."
Calling them a "fluke" is a severe disservice to the players who accomplished them. As noted on here before, it was LSU's job to stop them and on the basis of those individual plays, they did not (this is not an entire game statement, obviously). They were in no way "flukes".

Well, you never saw me write that.
It was a close, well fought game with comparable stats - but LSU won the most important stat and it's pretty reflective of the game play. LSU made plays when they had to and Alabama had untimely penalties, missed stops, and turnovers at critical points.
Bama played pretty good. LSU played better. Hopefully, we'll get a chance to redeem the loss. At this point, we'll just have to do our best and see how it all plays out.
