It just came across originally as insecurity considering he wasn’t a 5* at the time. I think some of us thought he’d be a 5* when Rivals woke up. It’s just really weird to say your QB is a 5* when there wasn’t a single rating system that had him as one yet.

Because he ran for 664 yards at almost 9 yards a clip as a JR on his way to a Texas state title. He then got an electric timed 40 at 4.50.
Plus he’s still filling out after a recent growth spurt. 189 at the opening finals where he dominated.

He's gaining weight. I read a couple weeks ago that he is in the mid 190's now. He'll be 200+ lbs by the time he steps on campus. The college S&C program will pack more on him then.

I wonder what happened between us and him. I know i saw something his parents said about our coaching staff seemed like sour grapes. Seemed like he was trending towards us at one point but we've had 2 qb's commited for a while
