I'd love to play Va Tech again somewhat regularly, like we did in the 80s and early 90s. I have a few friends that are Hokies, and we have the 2 most bad-arse entrances in college football

Ive been to Boone. I loved it. Its a really neat place.
Idk where junk show comes from. Thought it was great. Stadium is really pretty in like in a valley with a nice view.
Not a good place to play tho. Ground is like cement

All I was trying to say is the influx of tourists in the summer and associated development, along with lack of infrastructure improvements has "ruined" the sleepy town I knew. When it takes 25 mins to drive the 1.5 miles from the city limits on Hwy 321 to hwy 105, there's a problem.
The outlying areas are great, but they've grown beyond their ability to handle traffic.
