I’m confident they have done their due diligence on this until provided some proof they didn’t.

Odom has a great season brewing. I don't think he makes potential distractions with Williams unless things weren't as serious as we assumed. It's not like Williams was a 15 sac guy and Odom has to kiss his arse.

Odom is the kind of man that would kick him off the team if there was reasonable evidence, even if he did plea to lesser charges. I just don’t see him keeping Williams if there was any justifiable evidence of him hitting a woman. Odom has integrity, I doubt he breaks stride with who he is to keep Williams on the roster.

I could be wrong. And, it didn’t sit well with me either. Pretty serious accusation

I'm sure that their due diligence demonstrated that 2 drunks got stupid, that Williams grabbed the steering wheel while she was driving and struck her, she threw the phone out of the window and after he got out of the car, reached through the window and choked her with two hands. I'm sure they found that the gal had bruising around her throat consistent with having been strangled. I'm sure their due diligence found that Williams said he's sorry and pinkie promises never to beat women again. He subsequently worked out a favorable plea agreement and pled guilty.

It's a misdemeanor so he's allowed to play and will and per the rules probably should be allowed to play....until he fricks up again and he will, whether it's at Mizzou or after.

I don't like it but it is what it is and I hope he helps win some games and then ends up flipping burgers at White Castles.

Williams is lucky Dan Knight didn't come after him. Being able to plea it down saved his arse. Once that was done, the AD policy allowed Sterk and BO to make the call. He grabbed the wheel of a moving vehicle and put his hands on a woman. I would have booted him.

How about this, reedus?

The woman admitted to “worsening the red marks on her neck” and Williams denies putting his hands on her?

Still hope he ends up flipping burgers?

A March 4 police report from Nichols said that the woman told police she gave a recorded statement to Williams' attorney at the time, Chris Slusher. She recanted her statement about an assault, the report said.

Eh. This isn’t super encouraging, IMO. It could be a legit recant or it could be a recant based on “If you don’t do this, you’ll ruin my future.” If Williams is a POS, he won’t be able to hide it forever. If he isn’t, he shouldn’t likely have anymore women problems.

"Honeychild, he's a good boy. He didn't mean to choke the frick out of you. He just loves you so much and was scared of losing you. You going to keep him from his dreams if he can't plea to a lesser charge."

3 months later: "I choked myself." (Stuffs envelope into purse and leaves Slusher's office.)

I haven’t had a woman go to the police on me. That’s a streak I’m looking to maintain.

Missed this gem. The answer is an unequivocal yes. He's a thug piece of shite that put his hands on a woman. I've always said from the get go that she's no innocent in the matter but she's not the one on the football team. You wanna charge her with glorifying her story, I won't complain. Deflecting the talk to her doesn't exonerate him.

On second thought. Maybe not flipping burgers. Maybe he can just clean the shitter and mop floors.

OR...they are both telling the truth and it’s not nearly as nefarious as folks want to make it out to be.

Williams denied placing his hands on her...you know, it is POSSIBLE that the “thug piece of shite” is actually telling the truth. Especially considering she had no marks on her when the police arrived and they only observed them later at her apartment, and she’s already admitted to lying because she was mad.

You’ve dug in and refuse to have your mind changed despite current information

It’s completely normal for a person who originally says she was hit to give a taped interview to the defendant’s lawyer.
