It will be interesting to see if Sci Martin can bring some heat at DE. If he can be disruptive, it would make for huge gains along the defensive front. Hopefully we can get another DE some progress. Pressuring the QB needs to be prioritized this year. I think it would mean a big jump in pass defense compared to last year.

I wonder how many freshmen other than Williams crack the depth chart or rotation at some point this season. I have Harrison getting snaps behind Perkins in the hybrid LB/S position.

There should be plenty of opportunity early in the year for freshmen to get game time in the 4-game allowance. It may offer a chance to crack the depth chart if they show good execution.

When is Williams expected back?
ETA: I don’t expect much freshman contribution without some injuries. I think Boone could help but Scott is already filling that role. Would be wise to RS almost all of these guys

Redshirting hasn’t been Odom’s mantra so far. Mizzou has been near the top of the SEC in freshmen skipping redshirts under BO. Almost all will get a couple games those that can contribute even if it’s just special teams will play.

That’s also been a matter of depth. I anticipate a much higher percentage of redshirts from this class

The depth chart has a traditional 4-3 defense, did anyone else notice that?

I thought it was a 4-2-5
