I get he’s really good but why have him represent your team at media day when you would prefer for him never to step on the field?

Must be new to football.

Least likely to cuck Jimbo.
Smart move on Jimbo's part; given his history.

At some point, all teams will punt.
Mann is really stinkin’ good at it.
He’s a valuable part of the team, and the coaches/ players chose to recognize him for his success.
That’s it.

This is exactly correct.
It's funny reading message board posters trying to make fun of someone based on the position they play first string for in the SEC.

He's a SR on a young team, the best punter in the Nation, and he could have gone to the NFL last year but chose not to
Why not is a better question to ask

Aggy has the best punter in CFB. LSU has a HC who eats worms to inspire his team.

The guy killed us. The Cats weren’t moving the ball anyway but every time UK had a shot at a short field the guy would bust out a 140 yard punt. It’s demoralizing.

Yeah, he won the UK game - no question

4th & 13 at TA&M 29 - Braden Mann punt for 65 yds, downed at the TEXASAM 6 KENTUCKY Penalty, Offensive Holding (Chris Westry) to the Kent 3
4th & 1 at TA&M 23 - Braden Mann punt for 50 yds , David Bouvier returns for 5 yds to the Kent 32
4th & 7 at TA&M 18 - Braden Mann punt for 82 yds for a touchback
4th & 11 at TA&M 27 - Braden Mann punt for 60 yds , David Bouvier returns for a loss of 4 yards to the Kent 9
He flipped the field 4x (3x?)

You’re an arse.
But to your point, he averaged 59.6 yards on 5 punts. That’s otherworldly.

THAT is the real reason, more than anything else. That is some fricking leadership, right there. I don't care if he's the damn waterboy.
