The 2nd string guy thinking he should be a starter - what a surprise.

Really excited to see what Anfernee does this year. He looked a step slow in 2018 compared to 2017.
I would love him to see him do what Donta Hightower did coming off of his knee injury in 2009. Looked a little slow in 2010, but really returned to form during the 2011 national championship run.

Boz we need our annual summer intel on our players before the fall practice starts:
1. Is the player more confident in Peter Golding's playcalling this year?
2. Who has made the most impression in summer workout? who is likely to shine in fall camp and going forward?
3. Who is looking good at this point? Tauila or Paul?
4. Who is leading at LB next to Mose?

This stands as it did after Spring, as there haven't been any organized practices. At most, there have only been player-organized skeleton drills and such. All we know is that the best of the 2 sits firmly 3rd string, well behind Jones. We won't know any separation at QB3 until well into fall camp.

Nothing has changed since Spring, where McMillon was the obvious Aday starter at Will. To my eye, there was no player nipping at McMillon's heels, either.

On Jennings and Lewis. Jennings is a solid end setter and will have an NFL career but to date he's not shown the sort of speed to be an elite pass rusher. Lewis. To be honest I've not seen enough of him. Injuries have wrecked this young mans career. Bottom line is that there is plenty of room for a 3rd and even 4th player to make a huge impact in 2019.
