Hold the snide comments as most have been repeated over and over: Big Ten John is no longer on the show and Finebaum has made several insinuations that he was fired.Just curious, anyone know the inside info?

I saw the program on John's last day which was a couple or so weeks ago...nothing bordering on anything that he was being fired, etc. They talked all day about his plans and new endeavors, etc., moving up to New Jersey to spend time with his family, etc.
Paul did say on that day that this summer was going to be his last doing the show (talking about himself). No more.

A caller had complained on air about John blocking his calls for political reasons & PF made a face and said that won't happen again "we let him go".Another caller complained about him in a general sense & PF said " I don't want to throe him under the bus, so I won't". Just curious & appreciate the honest responses.

PF said this current summer would be his last and wouldn't do any more. I'm assuming he meant he would no longer be working during the summer, not that he's leaving the show entirely.
I really don't care for PF--he's extremely biased and somewhat hypocritical in his views, imo--and I just happened to come across the show the day that was John's last.

If I remember correctly, his name was John Hayes. He sat next to the producer (forget his name) when PF would kick it over to them for commentary, etc. He was a really nice guy and had been with the show from the beginning. Sad to see him go.

He just signed a new contract with ESPN last year.
There was a big to-do about it when his contract was almost up and Finebaum and guests would jokingly make reference about his contract negotiations and whether he'd be back or not.
After that everyone (Tebow, Spears) on the SECN joked about making "Finebaum money."
He was probably holding out for more money and ESPN obliged. Safe to say he's the highest paid at SECN.

Big Ten went to Penn State and knew literally nothing about the SEC,any sport, so either by design or lack of knowledge about the league,he became a virtual parrot of Finebaums' pimping of bama. To the n'th degree. He was also one of the call screeners and he pissed a lot of callers off when he kept blocking them. bama callers always got through.
