I’ll leave the other stuff up below but I’m repurposing this thread.

Vote for Janeek Brown. The Bowerman Fan Vote

Not sure what the weight of the fan vote is but I thought I'd post. Tell your friends. Janeek is a once in a generation talent and will most likely go down as the best Sprint/hurdler that's ever set foot on the hill, period.

I also went with GH. I don't root for the SEC, but I respect the hell out of Grant who may become the GOAT hurdler of all time.

Cheers!

Trained under Salazar and some other huge names. Get ready for UALR to start whipping our arse in the distance events in a couple of years. And hell yeah I’m mad.

I remember when it was just a given that the Arkansas men were going to win the distance events. The big question was whether someone else would finish in the top 3 or it all be Razorbacks?

If he does well at UALR, and I suspect he might, this will be yet another coach we passed on while we settle for what we currently have on the Hill.

He doesn't have the experience to replace Bucknam but if I'm an AD and I hear the greatest american miler ever is looking to coach as a profession, guess who's getting a new assistant. I'm frustrated like you, we are a very good track squad but we used to be great.

Sure, but the point wasn't to name him head coach, he won't even be head coach at UALR. The point is name recognition for recruiting and a shot in the arm to an anemic distance program. This guy has trained under the best that has ever coached, some of that is bound to rub off. Also, UALR got him for around 35-40K low risk/high reward.

Right, and I should clarify what I posted earlier in this thread, don't hire him to run the show, hire him to work with the long distance runners.
