In 1969 . Funny thing no other team that year even had a winning record overall in the ACC.
So one of the best years in gamecock history was in weakest year in a football conference history.
They suck so bad even SOS quit them mid season.

Wouldn't brag too much, Ole Miss. SCar & the Rebels are 8-8 all time.
They may haven't won as many conference titles or national titles as you, but they have ONE thing they've won you haven't: a HEISMAN TROPHY WINNER.
I don't care for the Chickens myself, but they were better off having Spurrier desert them.
