It is hard to think of, say, Bear Bryant comparing himself to Hitler or Pol Pot.

I get what Dabo was going for here, but it was dumber then a bag full of hammers. If I was Muschamp I'd beat him to death with it on the recruiting trail.

So i told those guys about these comments

And their first comment.

“Who the frick is Dabo Swinney?”

They don’t even know who he is!!! Irrelevant!!!

Thanks Lonnie ... yep, I love it that they are doing that. I actually got to attend and observe two years ago alongside one of my dearest friends who is a retired CSM who had some connections at Jackson (although we did most of our time at Bragg and in Italy and Germany and Great Britain and Africa and Central America.)

Jackson is the largest training post in the country and they love doing this with our football team. Division commanders, post commanders, brigade commanders and all the drills over there are all-in behind this ... they love it.

We make a lot of new fans in the process. The players get a small taste of what it's like in terms of physicality and, most importantly, teamwork. That's something the Army does really well. mUSChamp is big into that and it is going to pay off.

I've always said that the best college football teams have a military personality because you learn to do your job and do it well and you understand that your buddy to your left and to your right are depending on you.

I just love that mUSChamp encourages this and I love that the Post is working with us to make this happen every year. It's great.

We provide a lot of tickets to them in return and I've heard our fans have really been good to them in the stands. Someone last year bought a bunch of them concessions and a bunch of our fans around them showed some real graciousness towards those privates who are far away from home going through their basic and advanced courses.
