I think I'd rather have UNC. They seem overrated and Auburn looked good when we played them.

But I don't think there's a big difference. Excited about being back.

Man FSU playing for Martin scares me so glad they're on the other side.

Hail State let's win it all. Our last 2 CWS Appearances have been our best. So let's make this one the best!!!

Omaha hopes we will too. That will be the most packed national championship series ever. Both fanbases arguably bring the most to Omaha.

Why would we have saved Small for Vandy?
That makes no sense whatsoever.
Last night he was not his best but give Juiien credit. He crushed that HR and his second hit was well stroked. Two pitches that hurt but he still battled and gave us a chance to comeback and we did. Team has a lot of fortitude. The error by Julien gets all the ink but what about Mangum’s double to start the inning and forced them into changing pitchers, Big Mac’s double was not cheap either. Gilbert’s ball was smoked too. So we helped create the chaos that lead to the error.

I am fine with Ginn pitching tomorrow night. Hopefully he pitches well and we find a way to win it. Should be a great match up.

Like I stated in my above post, they can’t hit lefties well.

Looks like Plumlee is starting good move.

I agree Godawgs. You 100% start Small ln. This is the college world series, it doesn't matter who the record of the opponent is. If They're good enough to be there, they're good enough to beat you. See our team in 2018 for that.

#2 if that isn't enough reason, the sooner you pitch Small, the sooner you can use him again.

That wasn't Southern we played ln. That was a good team that put everything out to win last night's game and we survived.

Essienatially we had the Friday Night Game vs Vanderbilt in the SEC Tournament and now we get the Saturday game. If you look at pitching matchups. So glad we get a new look. Going 2-0 will be tough against Vanderbilt, but this team feels tougher than any team we'll see in the finals so I think we're tested.

So we helped create the chaos that lead to the error.

True, but we created plenty of our own chaos when we had two outs on them more than once and allowed guys to get on base. We had errors of our own that helped them get a run in the 8th as well.

Mangum set the pace for us in the 9th though. When he got the double off of the wall, that was the jolt we needed.

True but we also turned a DP before the error in 8th inning that prevented them from probably breaking the game wide open. People tend forget things like that but that was huge. That one run could have been several more if not for that DP.

Quite frankly Auburn outplayed us for 8 1/2 innings. Fortunately for us a baseball game lasts nine innings and we needed those last three outs to last until we scored 4. and they did.

Hate to be too negative. But in order to win it all now you have to win 5 games in 6 days or 5 in 7 if you drop one in the finals. And of course we have to beat Louisville to beat Vanderbilt twice. Which is why today was so big

My Bayou Bengals are long gone. Didn't even make it to the big show. My niece plays in State's marching band, my brother is a State grad', and his son will be starting school in architecture in two years.

I'm rapidly becoming a State fan despite the fact that my dad and I are LSU graduates (1954 and 1991 respectively). I'm ready and willing to purchase a maroon and white T-shirt with "National Champions" written across the chest.

HAIL STATE! It's high time you got a natty! You have a great university! Now get out there and get back into the thick of it!

Beating vandy twice in two days and also beating Louisville will not be likely...
