BBN,
My pals and I are coming down to Lexington for the game this fall and are looking to set up a tailgate. What would the best spot for a ton of College students to go set up?
EDIT:
getting further into the process, what are some good places to eat?/some good college bars for the night?

Student tailgating around the stadium is non-existent since the University started school sponsored student tailgating. There use to be a student area that was first come first serve but now it's a fenced in area that requires a wrist band and no outside food or drink.

They are next to the basketball stadium. People will be tailgating there in tents camped out for basketball season.

Long time season ticket holder here and religious tailgater. There are several spots where I commonly see opposing teams fans set up shop. I am at work right now and don't quite have the time to do so but this evening, I will include some aerial shots of where these spots are around the stadium. Most are in spots that are first come, first serve on gamedays and are very comfortably within walking distance.

I worked in Lexington for 5 years, tail gate sucked compared with other places!

Along Nicholasville Road. That is where the majority of students tailgate.

During the Joker years? Of course tailgating sucked. But if Keeneland is running, that is where everyone goes before a night game.

I guess it depends on which 5 years you worked here! haha. I can say in the last 3 years, it has picked up dramatically.

Along Nicholasville road is probably your best bet, or maybe down by the library.
