Love Ol' Colony. I've got my 6 year old boy signed up for the First Tee program there this summer.

The Green Bar has officially closed. Saw so many great fricking shows there.

New owner will remodel it and reopen a new venue in mid-June.

I hate to hear some places close. I know that is the nature of business though. I would be hesitant to open a business such as a bar in Tuscaloosa knowing that most of my clientele leaves for the whole summer. I feel like there are too many places opening up that won't be supported long term by residents

In the video a fat dude is getting rammed from behind by a skinny dude. They are standing behind the bar after it closed. Someone filmed it from outside.

Big Mike’s Steakhouse opened in Moundville last week. I went with family last night. Service was trying to get on track but the steak was damn delicious.

Moundville has nothing. I hope it makes it.

Developer says Shindig entertainment center will be ‘something Tuscaloosa has never seen before’

quote:

Shindig will have 20 regular bowling lanes, a separate eight-lane VIP bowling area, laser tag and miniature golf, a 4,000 square-foot video game arcade, ax throwing, pool tables, pinball machines, and a 3,000-square-foot music hall space. The facility will also have rooms for hosting birthday parties and a restaurant and lounge area. The venue will serve alcohol alongside its food.

Cypress Inn closes, expects new concept and operator later this year.
I just ate there a month or so ago and it was fine.

I was just coming here to post this.

I haven’t been since I moved out of Tuscaloosa but I’m surprised to see they closed down, even if it’s temporary.

When did the new Booth close? They should have never closed on the strip. Also I miss the old Houndstooth and Cheap Shots. Cheap Shots was one of the few bars that stayed open all night. I remember walking in one night and leaving at some point when the sun was up the next morning.

The one downtown closed? Hadn't heard that.

They didn't really have a choice. They were forced out by the University when they bought that building.

The original Booth on the strip was the greatest college bar I ever stepped foot in.

I haven't been to T-Town in a minute, but am going for a quick golf trip to Ol' Colony with some buds before football season.

Has Band of Brothers Brewery closed? I haven't seen anything from them on social media in a while. I wish they had a better location because their beer was always good.
