-Jamel Dean had a huge first practice with the Bucs:
quote:
Cornerback Jamel Dean produced a touchdown during his first practice with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Friday, and Bucs coach Bruce Arians said the former Auburn standout could have had another one in 11-on-11 drills at the NFL team’s rookie minicamp.
“He should have had a pick 6 on a tip, and he kind of hesitated,” Arians saidduring his post-practice press conference. “The second one, he made a heck of an interception and took it back.”

Have to believe Sammie’s career is over

I’m surprised he made it this long. He’s a bad route runner and has bad hands, but man can he fly.

He could probably go to the XFL and be one of the best athletes in that league until it folds after the first season

Big big step up lol. Better than the XFL too.
Brandon King just signed on for 2 more years with the Patriots. He's made a nice career for himself playing special teams.

Carving himself out a ST niche like Daren Bates. Teams like those kind of guys bc if they're okay with being ST specialists only then they're team first kind of guys, good for the locker room. He won't struggle to find a roster spot in this league with that attitude if the Pats ever move on

Daren Bates, Neiko Thorpe and Brandon King have all made a nice living from special teams.

There is a non NFL affiliated 40 yard dash contest next month and some big name stars like Alvin Kamara are participating, 11 offensive players. 11 defensive players. JF3 is one of the defensive players participating.
Offense: Ginn, Kamara, Jeff Badet, Corey Coleman, Robby Anderson, Richie James, Damiere Byrd, Mark Ingram, Kevin Snead, Christian Blake, Jacoby Ford, mystery participant
Defense: Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Trae Waynes, John Franklin III, Kevin Byard, Quinton Dunbar, Rashard Robinson, Terrell Sinkfield, Jerome Baker, Jalen Myrick, Budda Baker, Donte Jackson, Charles James II, mystery participant
LINK
Lol at Mark Ingram for participating.

I wonder why John Ross isn’t competing.

Quan Bray off to a hot start in Canada
First two games for the Montreal Alouttes after getting called up from their practice squad:
And Darvin Adams had already been one of the best WRs in the CFL the last couple seasons

Kind of wish the CFL had a team in Bham. I know, they did. But the AAFL proved there is a market for minor league football, and I like the faster play if the CFL.
