I worked there for a while back in college and although it was fairly liberal, the editors had some common sense on what stories to run and what not.

I typically defend local media but I kinda agree with some of the main points. The narrative of the article is a bit extreme but yeah its odd that the DM didn't cover such largely attended events.

I thought it was pretty much common knowledge that the DM was/is nothing more than LiveJournal for self-important twats to virtue signal their woke status to their friends.

The DM is run by a bunch of people that like the smell of their own farts.
I remember back when I was in school the writers and journalism majors all fell over themselves to write about to massive campus wide race riots when Obama got re-elected. It was one kid that burns an Obama sign in front of a dorm but because of the way it was reported it made national news. These idiots need to be careful and the faculty need to start holding them accountable when they pull shite like this.

What year? If it was anytime while I was in college (06-10), then I doubt it.

Holy crap Batman! I was 73-77 no racial incidents really reported because there really wasn't much of that crap. Even though to listen to the kids today speaking in a history rewrite from my actual experiances, African-Americans (hate that hyphenated term, it balkanizing) were literally in chains. I didn't see them wear their chains to class.
We have to stop letting them rewrite our history.

It was a shitshow before that. They allowed some guy borderline genocidal guy against gay people write for it when I was in school. I went to high school with the guy, and I’m shocked they allowed that lunatic to write for the DM. I swear to god he wrote an article on why gay sex should be illegal. I guess they just wanted a shitload of people to write back.
