It depends...If Bryant throws the ball right at JJ's numbers he could drop several passes, if Bryant throws inaccurately and makes JJ make a tough catch, the kid will deliver every time. It's like the tougher the catch, the better his focus.

Really hard to imagine JJ is less than 900 yds from being the all-time yds leader.....definitely did it under the radar.

He was clutch the last half of the season. He gives Bryant that kind of production, he will be the primary read on several plays per game.

Agree that the potential is there and would be a "safety valve" for Bryant but he needs to catch everything.

I hope he gets it. It’s fun watching him go 70 yards on a short hitch. Or just run a fly pattern and zoom past everyone to the end zone. When was the last WR to record so many 70 and 80 yard catches? I can’t remember one.

I'm cool with JJ becoming the leading receiver, but this post reminded me of just what a monster D Alexander was. How could the guy be so blessed yet be cursed with a pair of "baby" knees. It's like he was Deadpool and the knees never grew back the right way.

In 2008 DX dropped 40% of the balls thrown to him with Chase distributing. Few remember the ball he dropped on 3rd down vs kU that led to a punt and an eventual go ahead score. They only remember that the team went to the B12CG and won 10 games.
That end zone drop vs SC is the only thing people think of when you mention JJ. He has had his share of drops but outside of Maclin, who was over 70% for his career, what WR hasn't?

Honestly, when I think of JJ, I think of 1st and 10, hit him in the numbers and he drops it. 3rd and 8, throw it behind him, make him do a backflip and 1 handed catch and he makes it look routine.

Who's going to step up this year at wr and take up the slack for E. Hall? Mizzou won every game that he played in when he was mostly healthy and lost every game that he didn't play in and the Georgia game where he was not healthy and was used as a decoy. They lost the bowl game vs Okie Lite when he didn't play the second half.

Knox, Nash, Scott - can all step up. But I don’t know that Bryant has the arm to necessitate a Hall type threat. I’m guessing this offense is going to look a little different with a lot more short to mid range pass attempts and lean heavily on the run game and read option.
Also, with a healthy Albert O on the field, there will be plenty of dangerous targets to keep defenses guessing
