We're going to need to have a long look at the State of MSU Athletics rn. It's not in a good position and I'm concerned this isn't going to end well for us.

The state of MSU athletics? At this point in our history this is a golden era of success spread out through all of our sports teams. We’ve never had as much going for our teams as we do now. Yeah we had a dissapointing end to football and two bad losses in MBK but I’d take this over where we used to be as a school.

Well yes. Cohen as AD isn't looking good so far. I'm concerned this administration more aligns with LT then we have seen.

Scheduling Homes and Homes with Southern Mississippi, hiring a no name baseball coach, not having an expectation for football, and not doing much to change the culture of basketball.

Before I hear "Women's Basketball", Vic might leave before we win something which would suuuuck. Then what would we have?

That's all I'm saying is that I'm not sure we have the athletic department right now that is prioritizing Championships.

Just because the causal baseball fan hasn't heard of lemonis doesn't make it a no name hire. The guy is going to be successful here. Just watch and see. He has 4 kids on all American teams this year at Indiana. Most in the country tied with Oregon State. That's not coincidence.

Actually USM is a 2 for 1. There program is crap now so it was a good move to do so.

I would rather play them than Abilene Christian.

Some folks around here let one disappointing loss create one big picture instead of looking at as one small piece of a big puzzle.

Cohen is doing a fine job. Does not mean he might not make a mistake along the way.

Guys have a bit a patience.

Regarding the baseball hire it's only March.

But yes we are back in the NCAA Tournament and since the team won at Ole Miss I have been very high on them as you will see on my posts on this board. Probably the most optimistic of anyone on here actually.

The only sport I'm negative on rn is football. I like where baseball and both basketball programs are.

Other than a dislike for Moorhead, care to explain? The days of going 3-8 are not too long ago.

The days of 3-8 will be here soon enough with him.

When you look at the talent on that team in 5 years and realize he only won 8 games and wasn't in the game in any of his losses, you'll see how out of his head he truly is.

Yep, and you're the same guy that was trashing Mullen and how we'd be better off without him, yada yada yada. Then you erase a year of posting that garbage by posting just a simple "I was wrong." Just forget it was a new offense and all.

Do you think it will be more than one in 2010?

Are you trying to rewrite the history? An easy dropped pass in the end zone in the bowl game? We had the lead against UF and the loss IMO was on not blitzing/pressuring their QB. You shouldn't discount how good UK was last year who we were in it until the 4th. Not in it was against@ Bama and @LSU, nothing new there.

Over reaction on everything. But don't sweat it, it's why we're considered fanatics.

If we had hired a coach like Neal Brown we would've been better off. I didn't realize we hired an idiot. And yes I was wrong. Moorhead wasn't the guy for the job.

Yes this Defense had more NFL Talent than 2010

Scoring 7 points against Kentucky and 6 points against Florida isn't "in the game" just because Moorhead was gifted with the best Defense in the country. If you can't score more than 7 points you won't win any SEC game. And Moorhead couldn't even reach 6 points against Alabama or LSU. As far as Iowa goes Moorheads goalline play calling from LSU bust him in the nut once again.

This isn't an overreaction. This is reality. We'll realize it soon enough when he goes 0-2 vs the East once again.

I get it. I'm a little disappointed in the season but no need to over react.

outside of the 3 studs? Kobe, Rivers. Any of our current LB's going to compare with Wright, White, Lawrence? McPhee, Cox, Boyd on the dline. Was the Oline as good? RB's? WR's?

OK, so keeping the score close isn't in the game? Winning it going into the 4th qtr isn't "in it?" Kentucky didn;t allow more than 2 scores all season. Was it frustrating to watch Offense? Sure, But I also knew we had a coach bringing a new RPO system to a running QB. How many WR dropped passes last year? So he has his QB coming in. Beating A&M or Auburn doesn't matter. We lost to 4 teams with 10 or more wins.

IF we lose to Kentucky this year, yeah, I'll probably be there with you.

To be fair with the talent the coach inherited anyone could win but I’m happy so far!

Basketball definitely turned it around the 2nd half of conference play
