Definitely a great response, but I'd also bet that that's largely due to Morris's offseason edict around having to earn the right to wear the Hog.

Just an opinion. No different than calling this guy a "great kid" based on a single tweet.

That's the difference between being an actual fan and being a contrarian on a message board.

Not being a contrarian at all, I looked at the tweet and it's cheesy. If you disagree that's fine. Do you want to start policing posts that aren't positive enough?

Nah, I've never seen a positive post from you about football, so I'm not sure where the line would be anyway.

Never? That's a long time. I haven't been positive about Chad because, well, 2-10 ya know. Plus he's cheesy as hell with all the catch phrases and sweats with his name written in sharpie. This level of cheddar is apparently rubbing off on the players.

You gotta earn the right to wear the Hog. You have to earn the right to lose to Bama and A&M every single year. That's earned, not given!

I've made thousands of positive posts about football, just not since Chad got here. That's understandable if you're being honest. You'd rather carry on a personal vendetta though.

I actually got banned for making positive posts about football after the Coastal Carolina win in 2017. Mods can confirm.

That's rich coming from you. But that's fine. If you defend Mike, defended Bret after CC, and shite all over every single thing Morris does then I can tell you're just fishing for attention so I'll stop giving it to you now.

Haven't defended Mike for months, and I wasn't defending Bret after CC. I was just happy we won the game.

I've now been through the administration of players coaches, disciplinarian assholes, playing favorites coach, and more players coaches.

I can definitely say chad is a players coach. his recruiting is better than i've seen here. He nailed the positions of need last year in recruiting outside LB, and lets be honest we always suck at getting good LBs. He needs to improve by 4+ games this year. I'm hoping like hell he does that or better. If he doesn't do well next year I think we'll have him on short leash year 3 and then move on. I think we must roll the dice big again if we don't win.

I truely do think though that if CCM can get his shite together and the team quits sucking he can actually beat Bama here and build something similar to clemson. not saying we'll win a championship but could definitely be in the mix atleast and build reputation for success.

At this point, I just want to be in meaningful, ranked v. ranked matchups. I just want to be competitive.

That's all I want at any point. You can't just demand a National Championship in football within four years while competing in the SEC.

I'm mostly tired of writing off the season as a lost cause by the first two or three games. Going into the final couple of games of the season ranked and still in control of our destiny for the SEC title game means we can stay invested throughout the entire season and end on a conclusion that the fans can be satisfied with year-in and out.

We don't have the go into the Missouri game 10-1 and ranked #2. We could be 8-3 and ranked #17 and that's an exciting season with the chance for a top ten ranking by the end. We don't have to win the SEC, we could reach the end of the regular season reasonably close and maybe still have a puncher's chance to get in. That's worthwhile. Just give us a reason to keep the TV on and to keep going to games after the first or second fricking game.
