Chad I haven't coached college basketball, but Im not calling for a coach to be fired either, big difference. We have an AD who will know everything that's going on behind the scenes. I don't think White wants to use a slow ball control offense for a minute. You might have to see how this roster responds in quick pace and see that it isn't feasible...for now. We are in transition mode with a young team.

I don't like the idea of hair trigger responses because we have lost some games. I want to win as much as anyone on this board. Stricklin will decide what to do and until then I support the team and staff.

BTW Beth Mowins was the announcer for our UT game and I had to mute the entire game to keep my ears from bleeding.

Gator fans are too quick to jump on coaches and wanting them fired, without knowing what is going on inside the program. We have an athletic director to make those decisions, we as fans, need to let him do his job.

Nembhard is really talented and already pretty good but he doesn't get into sets as quickly as Chiozza did, at least yet. The ball sticks to his hands a bit too much in the halfcourt, which I'm sure will improve with age

My biggest problem with Nembhard is the lack of push up the court to stress the defense in transition. We let the defense get set every time. Cheese and Hill were great at that and Nembhard is so slow.

They were slow to when they were freshmen. The difference in speed between high school and Div.I is night and day even for a 5*. He's developing and it will come to him much quicker with each game.

Quick? It's been 4 years. We had an old AD that should have never hired White in the first place. But once again, Foley hired another coach who had zero big game coaching experience. UF is not the damn place for coaches in our big name sports to learn on the damn job. Mike White NEVER coached a team in the damn NCAA tourney. Foley screwed up AGAIN trying to catch lightning in the bottle with some hot shot up and coming coach who had zero experience coaching at this level. We are getting what we should expect. A interim coach learning on the job in year 4. Who has Mike White made better? Our seniors have gotten worst under his tutelage, not better. Guys have lost their confidence under his watch. His in game adjustments do not work as he isn't an Xs and Os. But he sure looks nice in a clean white shirt. Nice job Foley.

And we've made the tournament two of those three years and made the Elite Eight in one of them

I don't think White is an elite coach, but he's young, is doing awesomely in recruiting, and has had decent success thus far.

I've criticized him plenty, and criticism is fair, but wanting him to be fired for one probable NIT season is a bit... much

Chiozza and Hill were never slow. They certainly had their weaknesses coming into the program as freshmen, but speed and willingness to push the ball were never weak points

We haven't really ever had a PG like Nembhard. Billy D liked smaller, quicker guards who could shoot, so like the complete opposite of Nembhard

The only PG we've had in recent years who could consistently break down an opposing defense in a half-court iso set was Wilbekin. He wasn't great in transition either. Nembhard is bigger and longer than Wilbekin and a little more polished, albeit not as quick.

Well nothing cures a bunch of ills like a win. Especially over the mangy mutts. Hopefully Elam was at the game. Lol

After a turrible 1st half, Gators lit A&M up in the 2nd half and won by 9 after trailing by 13 at half.

Last night was a nail biter against Ol Miss. should have won by double digits. I hate the feeling of letting the air out that the team seems to have late in the second half. Am I the only one that thinks White is somewhat clueless on what to call in the time outs? i've never seen a coach that spends the majority of the time out period conferring with his coaches then spend just a minute talking with the team. It just seem odd to me.

I get tired of everyone criticizing the coaches for poor play. There were several times last night and during the season that player were open, probably as a result of play calling by the coaches, and the player didn't make the shot or kicked the ball out of bounds off his foot. The coaches can't make the shot, they just put the players in position to do so. Mike White is a good young coach, Gator fans need to give him some time before comparing him to Billy D. or even worse, wanting him fired. This team is young, good recruiting class coming in and with some improved front line personnel will be a contender soon. Go Gators!

9 out of 10 fanbases complain about their timeout or end-of-clock playcalling. When you realize that you're only as good as your best player in those scenarios, you'll be much happier. Even with Donovan so many complained about those situations, and it was fair -- I dread the days of Erving Walker dribbling out the clock and getting a 30 footer shoved back into his face. But then we had Wilbekin who was awesome in iso situations and everyone stopped complaining

I expected Kevaughn to be awesome in those situations and he's had his moments but he's been more of a mixed bag than expected, of course

I think we're in the tourney with a 10-8 SEC record. Gotta split between @ LSU, @ Vandy (that damn gym), LSU, and @ UK.

This is kind of a outlandish take, but I think UF actually matches up very well with LSU.

We will see tonight and I hope you are right. I like that Okaru got 13 minutes vs Bama as it helps to keep the guards fresh at the end of the game imo. Hope we move the ball around and shoot it well tonight.

Well after the nail biter at home vs Mizzou, we can't really chalk anyone up as an auto win. Hopefully we can get a rare win at Vandy's shitty court on Wednesday and we should be in good position to make the tourney.

The second half of the Mizzou was really good. Especially on defense.

Stokes had a really good first half to keep us within reach.

Allen made a bunch of fadeaways in the second half. Hudson played well.

Johnson is fun to watch. Like Casey Prather towards the end of his Jr year.

Edit: Our defense is about 2 to 3 seconds away from being elite. So many late shot clock baskets
