Disagree

I don't think it will always be ideal or even a good idea but they can make it work.

I've watched a decent bit of Jeffries' tape and he seems a little step slow for a guy his size on defense which is why a lot of people say he's a PF more than SF despite his size (6'6 220 ish). I dont see how he'd keep up with an active 6'3-6'4 type guard so many schools put at the 3 in college, especially probably in the AAC.

One of his biggest weaknesses is probably his defense.

I don't disagree in an ideal world. He should be a 4 in CBB, but I just don't think he would get killed in most spots. Of course this is also all under the assumption that they land Watford. If Penny did land all three, I would believe the best situation would be taking DJ out a little earlier and sliding him at the 4 when Watford needs a rest.

I guess I'm just saying I would gladly promise all 3 a starting spot if I had to and try to make that work.

Memphis is selling playing for an NBA Champion, NBA Hall of Famer, and in an NBA Arena in front of NBA scouts every home game. Don't forget we have World Championship BBQ and World Famous fried chicken and are top 5 in hot wings.

Just saying what they are selling just depends on what the kid is buying. I'd want to play in SEC if It were me. AAC is down bigtime. These top 10 guys aren't afraid of competition.

did memphis all of a sudden hire someone who meets those qualifications? cause penny sure does not.

that will be half filled every game. what a sell.

if he's a good enough prospect the scouts will come to his games no matter where he plays.

Can you imagine if WW was able to land Watford and Dante reclassify and us snag him? That would be 2 massive hauls in back to back years. Even if Dante stays in 2020, we should land him then. Getting Sy, Quinones, and Watford would be a great class too. Considering Hyatt, Cooper, Manning, Bishop. Obviously Smart, Williams, Days, Taylor, Mays will all be back. Even if we lose Tremont and Naz LSU should have another great season. WW putting LSU on the map.

I still think Penny will be a hall of famer, maybe not though, but assistant Mike Miller played with Lebron James on 2 championship teams at Miami.

i'm not arguing i'm just telling you what they are selling.

Penny and Grant Hill are guys that I personally think would have been all-time greats if not for early injuries...but as for coaching, competition and history, I'll take LSU

Bump. It appears there is a good chance he will be taking an unofficial to Alabama this week. Efff. Auburn gets in the final four and we still can't get the best talent from the state of Alabama.

The only way Alabama gets him is if Oats hires his coach. He's been trending heavily to Memphis recently.

Yeah, before we fired Avery.... While hiring Bucky would increase our chances, I think we still have a shot at Trendon if we don't.

I think your shot resides squarely on hiring his coach. He announces in 2 weeks, doubt he gets swayed from Memphis/potentially even Duke if they offer without a game changer like that.

I mean, our coaches are a little busy right now. Maybe Bruce will give him a call in a week

I hope we’re looking at Bucky. He seems like a legit coach with a high recruiting potential

Auburn has always prioritized the more talent rich Atl metro area over AL

Once Will Wade is cleared, Watford will trend back to the SEC Champion, LSU Fighting Tigers.

I wish but it seems like this has just dragged on too long. Sucks cause he would most likely have been at LSU otherwise. Great get for whoever gets him. If Bama starts off their new coach's tenure with him watch out.
