Tom Crean took an Indiana program in shambles and made them relevant again. Obviously easier to do at that School but recruiting is the key to everything in college sports. His class this year is outstanding for a bottom feeder basketball school.
Also, go read Rupp Rafters forum - they make Bama fans talking about Bama football look reasonable. How dare someone spurn them for Georgia.

Because the donors are shelling out all of that money they saved up for years when they weren't having to pay recruits to keep up with Bama.
It applies to basketball too.

We ain't going to become Duke or Kentucky but we have no business not being competitive in basketball being as close to Atlanta as we are.

Im not even sure thats true. Atlanta has a ton of talent, and getting IU to middle of the pack big 10 is much harder than than middle of the pack SEC.

We also had a top 5 class last year before Fox was canned.
So did those guys just keep all the bag money when they decomitted
