Kasubke is a backup target.
The 2020 priority list is Love, Christopher, Fletcher, and a big. If Mizzou misses on 2 of the 3 guards, then Kasubke will be in the picture.

Didn’t figure he would. Just news on a local kid, thought some might be interested.

Carte'Are Gordon is a very talented basketball player with a ceiling higher than the Chaifetz Arena roof, but he has never seemed as close to running out of chances as he seems to be right now. Gordon's ability has gotten him out of some jams before. His talent encourages coaches and teammates and everyone who wants what's best for him to exercise patience, to give him another chance, and then another. Will he get yet another?
At least one person close to Gordon seemed convinced as of Wednesday that the freshman forward would not suit up for St. Louis University again. The reason? Growing friction between Gordon and the program. Was it one big event, or a series of smaller events? Perhaps a combination of both. •
10:15 a.m. update: Gordon asks SLU for release Details remain foggy. SLU remains silent. It's deafening at this point. A premier player in the program is firing off cryptic tweets, saying goodbye, and no one from Team Blue is extinguishing the flame. That should tell you something. If everything was gravy and this was a story SLU wanted to squash, it would have been squashed by now.
A secret is getting out. Gordon can grind on teams. Punctuality can be a problem for him. He can have a hard time checking his emotions. Sometimes he loses his cool. He played for multiple high schools and there were multiple times those teams thought they would be better off moving on without him. Usually, they reconsidered. Tried again. Wash, rinse, repeat. Hopefully, one more shot awaits Gordon at SLU, but the betting odds were against that on Wednesday. Feelings are hurt. Emotions are tattered. What would be best for Gordon, whether his future is here or elsewhere, is a realization that even the most talented players can exhaust a program's patience.
And for the Mizzou and Illinois fans who are rushing to assume Gordon will transfer to your program, cool it. The Tigers and Illini are aware of the challenges Gordon brings with him, as the Billikens were when they signed him. Look where that left them after one semester.

Kid has had 6 40+ point games. Has three years of eligibility left.

I think I might be able to score 20 against that competition

Kid knows how create space for his shot. Nice step back.

they really need a quality big and they don't seem to be looking at one

Mizzou still has 2 spots left for 2019 which surprised me.

The lack of legit excitement in our major men's programs leads one to rationalize one's own projection hypothetical correlations, but a scoring juco potential transfer makes me hopeful of another rare impact transfer the likes of Malcolm Thomas. While his teams were not overly excessive winners, they and he were fun to watch and in doing so engendered some passion and the glimmer of hope.

Offers to players who haven’t yet signed with someone
We don’t look to be in especially great shape with anyone. And not sure of the lack of bigs offered. Or maybe we just didn’t catch anyone’s attention.
