Pretty much concur with this ranking. Maybe flip LSU and UGA. Looking over who is returning, I really like our chances in the bottom 8. LSU doesn't setup well with us having UGA the week before and their massive motivation for revenge.

Floor: 8-4
Ceiling: 10-2

Maybe, but LSU could also be limping into that game with a late season slide and have little motivation for revenge by that point.

08/31 - Georgia Southern
09/07 - @ Texas
09/14 - Northwestern State
09/21 - @ Vanderbilt
10/05 - Utah State
10/12 - Florida
10/19 - @ Mississippi State
10/26 - Auburn
11/09 - @ Alabama
11/16 - @ Ole Miss
11/23 - Arkansas
11/30 - Fightin' Texas Aggies

If you think our floor is 8-4, you haven't been paying attention. We are known to drop a game we shouldn't. Floor is 7-5, and that's being optimistic.

Disagree. LSU is going to be good. They’re going to be playing for backdoor playoffs and NY6.

They aren't making the playoff. Belee dat.

An added bonus for next year will be if they lose to the two HCs they 100% could have had.... but instead settled for O.

I don’t expect them in the playoffs either but if they’re 9-2 or 10-1 coming into our game they’ll be playing for something. Now we’re going to walk into Fake Death Valley and burn it down along with all their hopes and dreams, but I think they’ll be ready to go.

I'm basing it on Auburn and State losing a LOT and the fact that we should have beaten both on the road this year - especially Auburn. OK, maybe it's not the floor, but losing to any of those bottom 8 in Jimbo Y2 would be a pretty big disappointment.

We are due for a loss to South Carolina. Also we never win after bye week. I've got a bad feeling about the cocks.

Is this some sort of new talking point? I've seen it thrown around a bunch of times, even though it's not true.

Some people take any pattern and either just assume that pattern will continue because it happened in the past or they go the opposite and say it’s happened for too long something will change. I’m reality it has little to no actual effect on the outcome.

Since we joined the SEC, pretty sure we've lost every single post bye week game.

2012 - UF (our bye was filled in because game 1 was cancelled, effectively making week 1 our bye)

2013 - I stand corrected. We beat Ole Miss.

2014 - We beat Louisiana Monroe

2015 - Lost to Bama

2016 - Lost to Bama

2017 - Lost to Mississippi State

2018 - Lost to Mississippi State

So the past 4 years we have lost after the bye week. And the last 2 it's been a fricking embarrassment.

If you use your brain to look at it rationally, those 4 games were against:
-best team in the nation
-2nd best team in the nation
-a team that was a lot better than us
-a team just about as good as us on the road

We likely lose all 4 without a bye, because we've almost always lost those games bye or no bye in recent seasons

It goes back a LOT further than that. The last ranked team A&M beat after a bye was t.u. in 2007.

I also like the Georgia game being late in the season. On the road at Clemson in week 2 is a tough challenge.

It's ok, I'd be mad if I weren't in the perfect class year, too
