Its already a done deal...you can book that.

If he wants the job (he does) it's his.

So I can not have an opinion? Sorry I have stated long before last night I do not think Dabo would do well at UA or be able to emulate what he has done at CU anywhere else.

So go **** yourself since you think you have some design on who can have an opinion.

Good thing no one who makes the decisions cares about what "you" want.

Again, you guys are fooling yourselves if you think Dabo leaves Clemson. There’s zero incentive for him to do so now. His family and staff are ingrained in that school/program now and he can be every bit as successful there as he can be at Alabama. Clemson would probably mortgage their school to match whatever huge number we would offer him.

All the more to go after him. I want Clemson to go all in on this dude, debt up to their eyeballs even.

Realistically? I'm just hoping we can land Matt Campbell, a young up and comer with great pedigree. What lost us the game last night was a lapse in basics, nothing fancy.

I'd rather have his DC.

Venables? Locks made him look better than he really was.

He's a better coach than Dabo.

And the same can be said about your opinion or anyone's on this board.

And would you blame him. Like someone else already posted he is a made man at Clemson now. And what experienced HC would want to follow Saban. We have a rabid fan base that is never satisfied and the expectations for the next HC will be to high for any to meet.

Nah, but the pull of home can be strong sometimes. It's easy to say you wouldn't leave without an offer on the table, it's quite another when the offer is in front of you and you have deep ties to the school offering you.

It's a moot discussion right now anyway as I think Saban coaches for another 3-5 years, at least.

No one really knows. He is in a win win. I mean if he wanted bama, the cupboard would be fully stocked and would continue rolling at the place he himself attended/played/ and his first coaching job. That is something I think is the x factor. Having a statue in front of Bryant Denny? How could he not want that? And family is here? Let him have a couple down seasons at Clemson and it would be the same as here. I don't see any difference in pressure as far as jobs concerned. What he built there are the same expectations as here.

Dabo is not ever coming to Bama. He is the greatest Clemson HC ever, why give that up to chase Saban and Bryant at Bama? My guess is that if Pruitt has decent success at Tennessee, Bama will go after him.

Had we beat them soundly last night, I think there was a chance that he comes to Alabama after Saban retires, but he's beat Saban twice. I don't think he is coming, and I am preparing for years of famine after Saban does retire.
