Yeah LSU is going to finish top 10. I would consider that a big win for sure

He also beat two conferance teams that ended up with double digit wins.

In a world where the sky is always about to fall, games you win cannot be big games. Only the ones you lose end up being big games.

It's also a must win because Jimbo went 0-2 in big games this year

Kentucky and LSU are not on the same level as Clemson, Bama, and UGA.

Beating teams that will finish in the top 10 and played on NYD is still winning big games. You don't get erase those just b/c their blood is not as blue.

I guess I'm talking about big games from the point of view of the start of the season, not the end.

This year we saw 2 big games in August on our schedule. Next year we see 3. And when I say big, I'm talking playoff team big.

I am still pissed the year we got Kentucky they are a once in your lifetime team.

That’s some bullshite even if we won.

Who cares what people thought of LSU and UK at the start of the year?

Do you think Virginia Tech fans will give Fuente credit for winning a big game vs FSU at the start of the year even though they finished 5-7? I don't and I doubt anyone here including you would either.

If you are going to ding Jimbo for anything this year the Auburn and Miss State games should be it. We should not have lost either of those games and defensive losses aside we should be more talented than both next season. Those are must win IMO b/c if we can't win those beating UGA or Bama won't mean spit

I'd say that's a good thing. Without Kentucky being so good, this season doesn't look nearly as successful as it was. If only we didn't blow it against Auburn. And if only I hadn't traveled to Mississippi State (I'm a jinx when traveling).

Now we can hold it over them that we beat the best team in their lifetime.

I'm just trying to stress that we really need to not go 0-3 next year against Clemson, Bama, and UGA. We need to win at least 1 of those games. That being said, you are correct.

I think we can beat both Clemson and UGA depending on how well the defense rebounds from it's losses. I'm not nearly as high on either as most are. The only team that seems to be near unbeatable to be is Bama and even they have shown some flaws that might be exploitable next year.

I also think beating LSU two years in a row is much more important to the program long term than any of those three. We recruit directly against LSU for more players than we do with those other three schools combined. That 7OT win can't be seen as a 1 year fluke. Beating them more often than not needs to become the norm.

I have us 7 and 5 next year but all the losses are close. I just believe it's going to take one or two more years to get there, just my opinion.

Yeah, you’re just digging the hole farther and should stop. Preseason rankings mean nothing (just ask Sumlin).

Yes there are big games that you can circle before the season starts, but that doesn’t mean others can’t become big games or those teams become not big games. Bama and Clemson are good no doubt, and they’ll probably be good next year. But Kentucky and LSU both won 10 games this season and we beat both, while they were ranked, so therefore those are big games too.

And fisher doesn’t have to beat any of them to keep momentum rolling. 9-3 with close losses and a bowl win over a ranked team at the end and another top 10 recruiting class and we will still be headed in the right direction. Sumlin left some talent here, but this was never going to be a turnaround job in just a year or two. Give the guy a chance to build the program his way and have a roster completely of guys he’s scouted and recruited and let’s see where we are at.

If in 5 years we haven’t won double digits and are muddling around 7-8 wins a season, well.....rinse and repeat. Y’all know the drill.
