First of all, really looking forward to this game. It’s been a matchup sorely needed (think the last game was circa 2003). A shame that these two programs don’t play more often especially given proximity.

Second, a little background on our team:
Offense: scheme is option read based offense. Run pass is 50/50 but I don’t have the stats right off hand to back that up. Offense completely ebbs and flows off of one player: QB Bryce Perkins. First year in the program after having left Az St and then JUCO. He is very elusive and can break you with his legs. Receiver wise you need to watch out for Olamide Zacheaus. He owns the UVA record for most career receptions.
Our RB Jordan Ellis is average. He tends to be a bruiser more than he is elusive as a runner. Our O-line is our weak link. Our play calling can be inconsistent which has been our Achilles heel. We are best when we are aggressive.

Defensive strength is our secondary. We have a couple All ACC first team players in CB Bryce Hall and Safety Juan Thornhill. I highly suspect Bryce Hall will be playing in the NFL one day. Our linebackers are led by Mack and Snowden. Weakness is our D-Line.

Special teams is average. Nothing terribly noteable there. Some highlights early in the season but some real low lights later as the season went on.

Summary: our weakness is in the trenches. Our strength is our QB and secondary play.

ETA: I know USC’s WR Corp and QB passing is prolific. Does this change at all with Deebo sitting out?
