The only rank that matters in any season is the final one. Yes beating a "ranked" team that turns out to be not very good, may give the winner some confidence( I hope this isn't demonstrated by MSU vs LSU) which can be huge. Especially for a newbie in the rankings.

Anyway, LSU can win this game Saturday IMHO.

Odd, I thought AM was ranked when I went down there 10 days ago no?
Sure LSU can win, any SEC team can win any day, but we have the better team this year and this board knows it. Which is OK with you guys, 'cause it's just one year right?
Looking forward to another great game Sat. night.

If you can't run and can't pass on the D then are you gonna wish the ball in the end zone?

I stole this from myself in another thread

LSU Offense 35.6 ppg. LSU Defense allows 17 ppg
Ole Miss Offense 35.4 ppg. Ole Miss Defense 10.6

LSU's averages (6 games total) after removing New Mexico State, (Easily one of the worst teams in D1) Sam Houston St. (D2) and ULM vs Ole Miss Stats after removing ULL and Vanderbilt (5 games total)

LSU Offense 27 ppg. LSU Defense 25.8
Ole Miss Offense 30.2 Ole Miss Defense 11.2
