Anyone have a running list of those still on the injured list and those coming on or off the injured list?

As of Aug 15 it's like this, right?

Bruce Ellington - hammie
Buster Anderson - hammie
Chaz Sutton - foot
Cedrick Cooper - elbow
Gerald Turner - elbow
Cody Gibson - knee

Lost for season ?

Mike Matulis - shoulder

Coach Elliott said today that Matulis could return to practice by the end of this month....he had what is essentially a scope of his shoulder, and not a full-fledged surgery. Elliott said before that Mike had a "glitch" in his shoulder - probably just some floating cartilage or tissue debris that needed cleaning up. So his procedure was as least intrusive as possible, I guess....

That's actually good news. He could be a big time contributor.

With that news is it safe to say that so far (knock on wood) we have had a fairly light-injury summer?

Knock on wood again, and again, and again ...

I believe Drew Owens was quoted talking about Busta's injured hammy saying it is a travesty so I hope it is not bad like Shaq Wilson's was when he missed the season

Did something happen to Connor Shaws hand? I heard he got X-rays this past week.

No absolute word just yet. Banged his hand on a helmet - we're all waiting on word from the HBC.

Some tweets after today's practice. Looks like we're getting healthier:

quote:

Scott Hood ?@ScottHood63 40m Spurrier says Jerell Adams suffered sprained ankle, but should be Ok in day or two.

quote:

Michael Haney ?@Haney1075 43m USC LB coach Kirk Botkin says WLB Cedrick Cooper remains questionable for UNC. Recovering from dislocated elbow. M. Roberts/S. Moore are 1/2

He sprained his ankle, but they are saying a couple days to recover. I sprained my ankle twice playing sports, and maybe I just had a worse sprain, but there was no way it healed in a couple days. It's okay though, TE is our deepest position for single TE sets. We've got 4 guys that can play and play well.

We've got the rest of this week, then next week will be game week for UNC. Sounds like we'll get Ellington, Anderson, and Adams back this week, which should give them a full week of prep for the Tarheels. IMO, that would have them ready to play.

Hopefully Cooper will make it back, or at the worst be available for UGA. Remember, our season-opener is on a Thursday, so the team will have 10 days of healing for UGA. Looks like right now every single one of those days will be needed.

Don't know about Kadetrix for SS, or Zandi for backup OT. Gurley is still coming back from his ACL: I know he's going to be a beast for us eventually, but would like to have more depth at his position, and not put so much on his shoulders immediately...

Looks like Sutton (foot) returned to practice today, and participated in full practices. SS Kadetrix Marcus (knee sprain) participated in limited (no contact) practice.

Still in yellow jerseys today:

DE Devin Washington (concussion)
TE Jerell Adams (ankle)
WR Carlton Heard (hamstring)
LB James King (foot)
DE Gerald Turner (ankle)
LB Kyle Morini (elbow)
WR Bruce Ellington (hamstring)
LB Cedrick Cooper (elbow)
TE Busta Anderson (hamstring)
OL Mike Matulis (shoulder)
OL Cody Gibson (sprained right knee)

Maybe with summer drills now winding down - done for all intentional purposes - they can start healing and getting ready for the tarholios.

2 x TEs
2 x DEs
3 x LBs
2 x WRs

There is a telling stat to be had in there somewhere.

Busta Anderson was out of the yellow jersey at practice today and active (in a limited basis). May be similar to what Kadetrix Marcus went through yesterday: put them in non-contact or limited workouts, see if they experience any pain or swelling, depending on the type of injury. If none of the above, then release them to full practices...

TE Jerell Adams still in yellow, but no longer wearing the boot...

WR Bruce Ellington still in yellow, but media reported he was running around on the practice field and looked normal. He didn't practice fully, though...

Marcus was reported as full go in practice today. Yesterday he practiced in a limited, non-contact fashion. Sounds great, if he can have a full game week of prep in full practices...

Coach Spurrier said that OL Cody Gibson should return to the team around mid-season. Sucks we won't have him in the depth for the tough early portion of the season, but hopefully he'll be ready to go by the 3 consecutive away games...

The Gamecocks are off tomorrow, then return for practice on Saturday: due to the season-opening game on Thursday, the protocol for game-week is moved forward by two days - Saturday will be treated as a typical game-week Monday, and Coach Spurrier will have his weekly media press conference, which is normally held on Tuesdays, this Sunday....

Reports today that Anderson is out for UNC, and Cedric Cooper is also out. Adams is not 100%, he is questionable. Ellington also questionable, although both Adams and Ellington may play some.

This leaves us pretty thin at TE: Rainey is apparently not ready to go as far as understanding the plays. That leaves us with RS-Fr. Drew Owens, and whatever we can get out of Adams.

At least our RB unit is fully healthy for a season-opener for the first time since 2010, I guess.....

I am worried about devin washington. Not that he was gonna play this year, but he is a great young man and i think he has been out for close to 3 weeks with a concusion. Not good for that young man. Hope he is ok.
