This kid will end up with offers from just about everyone and his recruitment is just getting started. I honestly wish he did not commit yet, but oh well.

Many people from that area are comparing him to Sammy Watkins. He was the 1st player to ever start at Naples high as a TR FR on varsity and the school has been talent rich for years. Broke the 11 second barrier for 100M as an 8th grader. He will be heavily recruited, the big 3, Bama, and LSU have already expressed interest and want him to camp.

I just want to know if we are ahead of UT and UK in the 2016 recruiting class. That's all the matters.

I went to HS in Naples, was back a few months ago and played basketball with Byrd at a park. I've been around a lot of good college/pro athletes and he stood out athletically like nobody I've ever seen. And that was before I found out he was a high school freshman. Seemed like a really good kid too, wasn't that great at basketball but was competing his arse off to win which you usually don't see with kids with his physical gifts.

My high school in CT (Greenwich High school) played naples and we got fricking lit up. that school breeds talent and for him to start as a true freshman on varsity. I truly believe this kid will blow up soon enough.
